Pasta is not high on the glycemic index. Pasta is a whole grain product with a high content of resistant starch, which reduces fat storage, and compared to white rice with a glycemic index of 84 and white pasta with a glycemic index of 80, pasta has a lower glycemic index (GI value = 60) and belongs to the middle glycemic index food, which is a food with a slower rise in blood glucose and intestinal absorption, and which is able to maintain the blood glucose in a stable state and insulin function, and which is suitable for people with diabetes to consume. Patients eat, add vegetables, salmon, canola oil stir fry, low calorie and healthy.
Low glycemic index food:
It is rich in fiber, less refined (less processed) and so on, such as oatmeal, mixed grain bread, corn, pasta, more acidic or crunchy, hard fruits, and so on, while the high glycemic index food is often refined sugar, such as white toast, white pasta, sweeter fruits, and so on, so from the point of view of the maintenance of intestines or low-calorie, may be a good idea. The low-glycemic index is also a great reference for healthy foods from a low-calorie point of view.
