A classic clip about Russian roulette in the movie
Deer hunter, Pennsylvania 1968. Five Russian youths often go to Allegheny Mountain to hunt deer for fun during the hunting season. On the eve of Vietnam War, Michael, Nicole and Stephen were drafted into the army. Before leaving, Stephen married Angela, and Linda, who was in love with Nick and engaged, agreed to marry him when Nick came back. At the same time, Linda has a crush on Michael. Two years later, Michael and others were captured by the Vietnamese army and suffered all kinds of terrible torture there. One day, the Vietnamese army guarding them forced them to play Russian roulette with other prisoners of war. Michael and Nick bided their time, grabbed the gun, killed the guard, and then escaped with Stephen. Michael, who was disheartened, went home after many vicissitudes. However, everything is not what it used to be, and it is difficult to return to the former state. Michael learned from a friend that Stephen had come back, but he didn't. After finding Stephen in a nursing home, Michael insisted on taking Stephen home and learned from Stephen that Nick was still in Vietnam. He went back to find him and finally found him in a casino in Saigon. Michael tried to persuade Nick to go back with him, but Nick had a nervous breakdown and was shot through the head because of Russian roulette. Michael shipped Nick's body back to America. At the funeral, Mike sang "God Bless America" with other relatives and friends.
