The TV series "Yongzheng Dynasty" has been broadcast for more than ten years. Wang Huichun plays the eighth prince Yin U: he is very scheming, win over people's hearts, hidden, cunning, and inconsistent. , opposing Yinzhen everywhere, giving people the impression of being evil-minded and disgusting.
In the 20th episode of "Kangxi Dynasty", Kangxi's final evaluation of Yinyu was: "Eighth elder brother Yinyu learned from me everywhere, but he did not learn from me in governing the country with benevolence. He is merciful and buys people's hearts. I have overindulged in the following, but he is even more indulgent than me. Even if his generosity is true, it will only completely destroy my country."
Why could Yinsu, who was known as the "Eight Wise Kings", never fall into the eyes of Kangxi?
Yinhu’s biological mother was Liangfei Wei. Because Liangfei was of humble origin, she was not qualified to raise the prince. When Yinzhu was a child, she grew up next to her eldest brother Yinzhen's mother, Concubine Hui. She did not have a strong family background, so she worked hard to learn civil and military knowledge. Yinzhu's personality was naturally easy-going and good-tempered.
Kangxi saw that his son was as tolerant as himself and loved Yinhu very much. Yinsu understood very well that there was no one on her mother's side that she could rely on, and she had to rely on herself for everything. Yinsu began to make good friends, and his friendship with the emperor's ninth son, tenth son, and fourteenth son was extraordinary.
He has an unusual relationship with many princes and courtiers. Whenever there is any disturbance in the court, these princes and courtiers will go to the Eighth Prince's Mansion to inquire about the news. Even the eldest prince, who was also his rival, moved closer to Yinhu when he knew that he would not succeed to the throne. Wow, Yinzhu is so good at dealing with people.
Cleverness leads to mistakes
In the forty-seventh year of Kangxi (1708), Prince Yinreng was deposed. Kangxi thought that the conflicts between the princes could be alleviated, but he did not expect that the competition between the princes for the throne would become more serious. Yinhu wanted to obtain the status of crown prince, but Yinhu never showed what he wanted to do in front of Kangxi. Instead, he guided his followers and said all their good things in front of Kangxi.
Yinhu also tried his best to win over important ministers in the court, and gradually formed the "Baye Party". Emperor Kangxi was most taboo about the partisanship around him. He did not expect that the princelings would be abolished. The Eighth Prince Party was even more arrogant than the princelings. He also arranged fortune tellers to deceive the public and deceive people by saying that the eighth prince had the appearance of an emperor. It caused an uproar in the DPRK.
The ministers thought that the throne was determined, so they went to the Eight Princes' Mansion to curry favor for their "future". Kangxi was very angry and even used extremely cruel criminal laws to execute all those who supported the party struggle. Kangxi's killing spree made Yinsi see that he did not have much advantage in the battle for the throne.
Emperor Kangxi was getting older day by day, and the crown prince position was still vacant, so Yinshu, Yinzhen, and Yinzhen stood out. Yinzhen relied on doing his best to serve Kangxi, and what Yinzhen valued was the people's hearts. In terms of accumulating virtue and doing good deeds, regardless of whether it is true or false, Yinhu is very good at superficial skills. He would lend a helping hand to anyone in need without any preconditions.
No matter what you want, just tell Yinhu that if you want an official position, you will have an official position, and if you want money, you will have money. As time went by, many people regarded Yinhu as a "living Bodhisattva", and they cheered and supported him wherever he went. For a time, Yinhu's reputation became huge. Although Yinhu was smart, he did not fully understand Kangxi's thoughts.
Imitate Kangxi, only see the outside but not the inside
Forty-seven years of Kangxi, when Yinreng was deposed. Yinxi was authorized by Kangxi to handle and interrogate the suspected persons. Kangxi wanted to use this incident to attack his cronies, but Yinhu's benevolence, righteousness, and morality were only superficial, and his imitation of Kangxi was not thorough enough, so Yinhu made it impossible for the former prince to turn around.
Yinhu handled the case without mercy. Yinhu underestimated Kangxi's love for his son. Yinhu's image of benevolence and righteousness over the years completely collapsed in Kangxi's heart. Seeing the decline of Kangxi's health, Yinzhu hired Zhang Mingde, a fortune teller, and praised him, saying that Yinzhu's "white energy penetrates the top of his head" and he was a wise king.
Yinhu's original intention was to use the public opinion of the government and the public to put pressure on Kangxi, so that Kangxi would accept him and make him the prince. Unexpectedly, when Kangxi found out, Lei Ting would be furious. This invisible confrontation made Kangxi extremely painful. When this move didn't work, another move came up. Yinzhen and Yinzhen had a good relationship. In order to climb to the throne, Yinzhen couldn't care about the brotherhood.
On Kangxi’s birthday, the gift given to Kangxi by Yinzhen was secretly exchanged. Kangxi suffered a heart attack. From this, it can be seen that Yinhu's usual kindness is hypocritical. Kangxi had long seen Yinhu's thoughts and was completely disappointed with this "benevolent and righteous" Yinhu. Before his death, Kangxi made a simple summary to his sons: Yinhu imitated me in everything, but failed to imitate him in everything.
On the third day of November in the sixty-first year of Kangxi (1722), Kangxi died of illness in Changchun Garden. The "Eight Wise King" Yinsu, who had carefully planned his life, did not ascend to the throne as he wished in the end. Yinyu was unwilling to give up, and was finally defeated by Yinzhen.
