Ga fish is also called Baiyangdian Jiajia. There are different names in different parts of the country, such as Huang Lading, Ga Yu, Ga Ya Zi, Huang prodigal son, etc. The scientific name Pelteobagrus fulvidraco is one of the rare freshwater edible fish. The dorsal fin and pectoral fin of Ga Yu in Baiyangdian have well-developed hard spines, which can make the sound of squeaking in the activities, hence the names of Jia Jia and Ga Yu.

Selection, cleaning and disinfection of ponds Choose fish ponds with good water quality and sufficient water, with a water depth of over 1.5m and an area of 2 to 10 mu. For ponds with silt at the bottom exceeding 10cm, excessive silt must be removed. After removing excessive silt, do not inject water immediately, but expose it to the sun for several days before cleaning.

Fish stocking and variety matching Fish stocking time is generally selected in winter or early spring, the stocking specification is generally more than 20g per fish, and the stocking density is generally 2,000 to 3,000 fish per mu. Before fish stocking, 3-5% salt solution should be used for soaking 10 to 15 minutes before stocking.

If possible, animal baits such as small fish, shrimp, snail meat, livestock and poultry leftovers can be directly ground, and then 3-8% flour is used as adhesive. The daily feeding rate is controlled between 5% and 8%, depending on the fish's feeding, weather and water temperature.
