The video store guy I have a crush on is actually a female classmate?
--The One Who Cares Isn't a Boy
It's a yuri manga with a delicate drawing style and gradual progression of emotions. And the protagonists' situation is not so much a yuri as a type of falling in love with each other without realizing it while getting along with each other, which has nothing to do with male or female.
The female protagonists are Koga Miyuki, who is quiet at school but glamorous at her part-time job at a video store.
And the hot girl and outgoing Osawa Ling.
The two got to know each other through listening to the same favorite music at Miyuki's uncle's video store.
Miyuki is a bit of a natural, and often flirts with Ling without realizing it.
Due to the incident of borrowing the CD, the relationship between the two of them heated up quickly. Even Miyuki's uncle at the video store senses a subtle hint of ambiguity.
However, Ling never knew that Miyuki was a girl and not a boy. At school, Miyuki was quite hesitant to confess, after all, she didn't want to disappoint Ling, so she thought about it and decided to keep it a secret.
But the secret was soon discovered.
Not by Ling, but by a male character who debuted in a yuri manga. Because of his sunny and handsome appearance, he had been quite popular with the girls until he met Miyuki and Ling.
Being called trash, the sunny guy was extremely depressed, and when he passed by an old store, he saw Ling, who was tenderly in love, and the handsome guy in the store.
It's just that this little guy, he looks so familiar.
Probably a man's intuition, he recognized Miyuki.
The sunny man arrived at the store and blew off Miyuki's face first.
And Miyuki, who thought of Sunny Man's student status, felt y bad and hurriedly asked him not to tell Ling her real identity.
In this way, Miyuki's secret was kept for the time being.
But as a result there's one more person outside the arena watching the show.
But by an accident, Ling discovers Miyuki's secret. Ling is annoyed that Miyuki won't say it outright, and Miyuki doesn't know how to explain it. And so the two drifted apart, each shedding many tears for the other.
This is a story that was started by music, so later on the relationship was repaired because of music.
Miyuki took the stage with her guitar and sang for Ling alone.
After coming off the stage, Miyuki took the initiative to find Ling and solemnly introduced herself, "I'm Koga Miyuki, who works at a CD store, and I'm sorry I couldn't get the words out of my mouth... can you become friends with me?"
In the hustle and bustle of the music venue, time seemed to stand still, the murmurs disappeared, and all Ling could hear at the moment was Miyuki's confession, to which she responded dully, "Okay."
After learning the truth, the two also officially make up, getting along well both at the video store and at school, and even bumping into each other during the New Year's Eve visit, with several sweet daily routines.
But as Miyuki and Ling's relationship at school gets better, Ling somewhat neglects her original friend, which leads to her friend's jealousy.
As well as the new characters that appear later in the series also give Ling a sense of crisis.
It looks like there's a lot more for the girls to work out in the manga, so if you want to know what happens next, go watch the original manga.
