Symptoms: erythematous inflammation occurs on the skin of sheep, first in the eyelids, ears, nose and throat appear severe edema and swallowing difficulties, body temperature rises, keratitis and jaundice, the skin has a yellow liquid exudate, and then the formation of hard knots cracked or ulcers, necrosis. Some of the sick sheep appeared to spasm, and individual sheep died within 1-2 days after the symptoms of poisoning appeared.

2. Prevention:

1) Try not to feed buckwheat straw and hulls.

2) When feeding buckwheat straw and hulls, it is best to soak in hot water or feed less and with other feed.

3) When sheep are found to have the initial symptoms, they should be immediately moved to a shady place to prevent direct sunlight.

3. Treatment:

1) Intravenous injection of sugar saline 500 ml to increase urine output and promote excretion of poison. Intramuscular injection of sodium camphorsulfonate 5 ml.

2) Intravenous injection of sterile aqueous solution of 10% calcium gluconate 50-100 mg and dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection 2-4 ml intramuscularly per sheep.

3) The area where the rash occurs should be washed with potassium permanganate solution and then rubbed with ichthyol ointment or sulphonamide ointment.
