First up is Din Tai Fung, a 20-year-old restaurant that specializes in traditional Nanjing and Zhengzhou ducks, which are traditionally roasted and slow-roasted over charcoal using fruitwood charcoal to keep the meat tender and crispy. The prices are also very affordable, making it a very cost-effective restaurant.
Secondly, there's Hu Da Ma Roast Duck, which uses the finest Peking white ducks and uses the flip-roast method to make the skin crisper and the meat more tender. Other snacks at the store are also good, such as marinated duck intestines and fried noodles.
Finally, there's Henan Duck Marinated Paste, a store whose roast duck is a little different in that it's roasted and then mixed with slices of duck meat in a marinade, which makes the meat juicy and more flavorful when you eat it. The store also has other Henan specialty snacks, such as scallion pancakes and popcorn, at very affordable prices.
The above are the three better stores for eating roast duck that I introduced, if you have been to other delicious stores, you can also share them with us! Here's wishing you the best of luck in your Zhengzhou food trip to find a roast duck store that suits you best.
