Consists of Bupleurum, Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparata and Lalang Grass Rhizome each 30g, Scutellariae Radix, Radix Codonopsis and Radix Glycyrrhizae each12g, and 4 Chinese dates.

For patients with obvious urinary tract irritation or hematuria, talc10g and pollen typhae14g (package) should be added; 24g of Radix Paeoniae Alba, 5g of Endothelium Corneum Gigeriae Galli/Kloc-0 and 50ml of rice vinegar are added for patients with kidney calculi and ureteral calculi.

The function is to eliminate dampness and to clear heat.

Indications: acute pyelonephritis.

The prescription can relieve Bupleurum bitter and smooth, thoroughly drain and clear away the evil of shaoyang; Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi is bitter cold, clearing heat and drying dampness; Pinellia ternata is hard, warm and dry, pungent and bitter, warm and dry and wet; Adding cogongrass rhizome enhances the effect of clearing heat and diuresis; Radix Codonopsis, Radix Glycyrrhizae, and Fructus Jujubae are assisted in invigorating qi and spleen, strengthening body resistance and eliminating pathogenic factors.

Usage: decoct with water, daily 1 dose. 7 days is 1 course of treatment.
