Chongqing is located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and is the youngest municipality directly under the central government in China. The underwater inscription of Baiheliang is located in the middle of the Yangtze River in Fuling, which is a natural giant Liang Shi. The inscription on the Liang Shi records the historical low water level in 72 years since the Tang Dynasty for more than 12 years, which is of great value to the study of hydrological data in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River.

Baidicheng is located at the mouth of Qutang Gorge, which is the best place to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kuimen. Famous poets of past dynasties, such as Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi, Su Shi, Lu You, etc., all ascended the White Emperor, leaving a lot of poems. Qutang Gorge starts from Fengjie Baidi City in the west and ends in Wushan Daixi in the east, and is famous as a hero in the Three Gorges. The cliffs on the north and south banks of the Xiakou Kuimen are as steep as a knife, and the river surges in the narrow river channel with a width of only over 1 meters. Therefore, it has been known since ancient times that "Kuimen is the best in the world". Down the river, the rapid flow is swift, and the sky is a line, which is very steep.

Wuxia starts from Daning Hekou, Wushan County, Chongqing in the west, and ends in Badong County, Hubei Province in the east. The gorge is long and deep, winding, with continuous peaks and misty clouds, and the scenery is extremely beautiful, like a beautiful gallery. The main scenic spots in Wuxia are Chu balcony, book-giving platform, dragon-cutting platform, Nanling Chunxiao, sunset, Ninghe crossing at night, "Qingxi Fish Fishing, Chengtan Autumn Moon, Xiufeng Zen Temple, Nvguan Zhenshi, Chaoyun Muyu and Twelve Peaks. Xiling Gorge starts from Xiangxikou in the west and ends at Nanjinguan in the east. The main landscapes are: Baojian Gorge in the War Book, Niuganmafei Gorge and Dengying Gorge.

The Three Gorges of the Yangtze River can be visited from Yichang to Chongqing, or from Chongqing to Yichang, or from Chongqing to Wuhan. There are cruise ships to all places.

Little Three Gorges

The Little Three Gorges of Daning River is located in Wushan County. The main scenic spots are Bawu Gorge, Cuidi Gorge, Longmen Gorge, Ancient Plank Road, Maduhe Little Three Gorges and so on.

Longmen Gorge is 3 kilometers long, and it is like a Kuimen. The main attractions are Longmen Bridge, the ruins of ancient plank road, the green lion gatekeeper, Yinwotan, Pipa Prefecture, Majiaotan and so on.

The remains of the ancient plank road are located on the cliff of Longmen Gorge, extending from the mouth of Longmen Gorge to Shaanxi, Hubei and other places, exceeding the length of the famous Jiange plank road.

The Little Three Gorges of Maduhe River is connected with the Little Three Gorges of Daning River, so it is necessary to take a boat to the mouth of Maduhe River, and then take a small wooden boat. After going upstream to the finish line, the original boat will return to the mouth of Maduhe River.

Simian Mountain Scenic Area

Simian Mountain Scenic Area is located in Jiangjin, which is named because of the surrounding mountains. The main peak, Wugongling, is 179.4 meters above sea level. Simian Mountain is dominated by virgin forests, with many streams, lakes and waterfalls dotted between Cangshan green trees and Danxia landform. There are more than 1 waterfalls, of which Wangxiangtai Waterfall is 152 meters high and 4 meters wide. Shuikousi Waterfall is 94 meters high. The main attractions are Dawopu, Bajiaojian, Pingshan, Suspension Bridge, Huaguoshan, water curtain cave, Camel Mountain, Xiangbiling, Monkey Mountain, Tiger Mouth, Backwater Water, Monk Mountain and Motianling.

Dazu Stone Carving

Dazu is the hometown of stone carving art in China, with many stone carving statues in the Tang and Song Dynasties. Among them, Baodingshan and Beishan Cliff Stone Carvings are the most famous.

The Cliff Carving of Baodingshan is located in the northeast of Dazu County, with the Buddha Bay as the center, and there are 13 landscapes, including Little Buddha Bay, Inverted Pagoda, Longtou Mountain, Jueshi Mountain, Huangjuepo, Gaoguanyin Mountain, Broad Mountain, Pine Forest Slope, Buddha Rock, Rock Bay, Longtan and Opposite Buddha. Among them, the stone sculpture of the Giant Buddha Bay has the largest scale, the highest artistic value and the best preservation.

The Cliff Stone Carvings in Beishan are located in the north of Dazu County, with nearly 1, stone sculptures. The statues in Fowan are the most concentrated, and the stone carvings in Fowan are divided into two regions, the southern region is mostly works in the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, and the northern region is mostly works in the Song Dynasty.
