I saw many people in Hangzhou steaming hairy crabs. Is there any other method?
1. Wash the hairy crabs cleanly. There is no need to untie the rope that binds the hairy crabs.
2. Put an appropriate amount of hot water in the steamer, bring to a boil over high heat, put the hairy crabs belly side up into the steamer, cover the pot and steam for about 10 to 15 minutes (depend on the size of the hairy crabs).
3. Wash, peel and chop the ginger, smash and mince the garlic, wash and chop the shallots.
4. Put the light soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, sesame oil, onion, ginger and garlic into a bowl, mix evenly to form a dipping sauce and set aside.
5. Take out the steamed hairy crabs, remove the ropes and put them on a plate. Just dip them in the sauce when eating.
