Youxi Lianhe Rice Terraces is located in Lianhe Township, Youxi County, Sanming City. It is known as one of the five most charming terraces in China and the most beautiful terraces in East China. Starting from Lianhe Village, where the township government is located, the terraced fields connecting eight organized villages including Dongbian, Yunshan, Xiayun, and Lianyun cover an area of ??nearly 10,000 acres, and are large-scale and majestic. Terraced fields of various sizes, the largest of which is no more than an acre, can only be planted with one or two rows of rice seedlings. They are typical fragmented fields of "Dou Li mounds, eyebrow mounds, and toads can jump over three mounds at a time".

Lianhe Township is located in the subtropical monsoon climate zone, with abundant rainfall and frequent cloud and fog weather. The large terraces shrouded in clouds and fog are like a ladder from earth to heaven, or a colorful fairy tale world. The terraced fields, which are as horizontal as mirrors, extend from the top of the mountains layer by layer, showing a myriad of weather conditions in the alternating changes of sunlight, clouds and mist.

The best time for photography:

One is from March to May every year, when the terraces are reclaimed and the fields are irrigated.

Accommodation: There are farmhouses in many villages in Lianhe Township, where food and accommodation are cheap and convenient. There is a travel agency in Lianhe Village with more than 20 beds; there is a reception station in Yunshan Village. Accommodation in these spots costs about 30 yuan, and food costs about 15 yuan per person.

Food: Lianhe Township is famous for its local peanuts and tea. As the only hometown of green bamboo in China, Youxi County is particularly famous for its green bamboo shoots.

Navigation is the most convenient!

Note: Annual holidays (especially May Day and National Day) During Golden Week), there are a lot of tourists coming to Lianhe Rice Terraces. Since the county road from Lianhe Township to the rice terraces is narrow and rugged mountain roads, plus there are many self-driving vehicles, it often leads to road congestion. It is recommended that you avoid the peak period. Come here, or park your car in the market town, and then take the shuttle bus up the mountain.

Take the bullet train

After arriving at Youxi Railway Station, take bus No. 2 to Youxi Bus Station, then transfer to the bus station for the shuttle bus to and from Lianhe Township Market Town (the fare is 10 yuan, the whole journey 1 hour), 7:00 am to 17:00 pm, approximately every hour.

Note: Youxi Bus Station has a shuttle bus to and from Lianyun Village in the core area of ??Lianhe Terraces every day, passing through Lianhe Township, Dongbian Village, and Yunshan Village. The bus departs from Youxi Station at 15:20 and departs at 6:30 Departs from Lianyun Village.

Take the shuttle bus

Fuzhou and Nanping have direct shuttle buses to Lianhe Township Market Town. From other places, take a bus to Youxi Bus Station first, and then transfer to Lianhe Township.
