(3) Mahayana Pavilion The Mahayana Pavilion is the central building of Puning Temple. There are four Lama Pagodas of different colors at the four corners.
The Mahayana Pavilion is 36.75 meters high and has 6 layers of double eaves on the front.
Inside the pavilion is a standing statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva with Thousand Arms and Thousand Eyes, which is 22.28 meters high. It is carved from hard antiseptic wood such as pine, elm, fir, and linden, and weighs about 110 tons.
