The origin of the name Changying is that Changying is one of the Muslim settlements in Beijing.
According to research, some Muslims participated in the peasant uprising that overthrew the Yuan Dynasty at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. Some of them became the founding generals of the Ming Dynasty, such as Chang Yuchun, Zhao Dahai, Ding Dexing, etc.
The Ming army captured Dadu in the Yuan Dynasty and stationed troops around Dadu.
Most of the garrison camps of Chang Yuchun and other armies were named after the word "camp", such as Changying and Kangying in our district, Gaoliying and Huiminying in Shunyi, Xueying and Commanding Camp in Daxing, etc.
According to legend, Changying was named after Chang Yuchun, the founding father of the Ming Dynasty, who stationed troops there.

[2] History of Changying Changying has always been under the jurisdiction of Tongzhou in history.
In March 1958, with the approval of the State Council, five counties including Tongxian, Shunyi, Daxing, Liangxiang, and Fangshan in Hebei Province and Tongzhou City were placed under the jurisdiction of Beijing City (see "Beijing Chronicle·People's Congress Chronicle" page 455)
.
On April 5 of that year, four townships in Tongxian County, including Changying, Louzizhuang, Xianninghou and Gongzhufen, were placed under the jurisdiction of our district. At that time, they were still called "Changying" (see the Communist Party of China, Chaoyang District, Beijing
Historical Events" page 82).
Later, when the people's commune became a people's commune, the township was withdrawn and merged into a commune on August 25, 2011. Changying was classified as a subordinate unit of Chaoyang People's Commune, and "Changying" was changed to "Changying" (see page 85 of the above-mentioned events).
On March 26, 1984, the organizational structure of the ethnic township was restored, but it was still called "Changying".
It was not until June 25, 2000 that the name was corrected and the original title of "Changying" was restored.
[1] Changying's religious culture generally has mosques built in Muslim areas.
Changying Mosque is one of the mosques with a long history in Beijing.
According to the reconstruction monument recorded in the temple in the first year of Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty (1796), the temple was built during the Zhengde period (1506 to 1522).
The Yuan Dynasty was conquered by the Ming army in the first year of Hongwu (1368), and then troops were stationed around the capital. As the place where the founding fathers of the Ming Dynasty often encountered spring troops, Changying should have a longer history than the Changying Mosque (see "Beijing Literature and History"
Article "Talking about Islam in Beijing", Issue 63 of Materials").
