Nanxun cuisine ranks first, with both hands.
Many fans and friends have recommended the double sides of Zhuangyuan Building to me, saying that it is an old shop for decades. I hurried to eat early in the morning. The facade is smaller than I expected, but there are many diners and the small space is crowded, so I have to share a table with others.
Read the menu, it's really cheap. 8 yuan for a bowl of crispy noodles, 8 yuan for a bowl of fried fish noodles, and 6 yuan for a bowl of vegetarian chicken noodles. This is like the price in 5A ancient town, which is not available in roadside stalls.
When eating in Nanxun, people will add various toppings to the noodles, which are well-known for their meat and vegetables. The so-called two-handed noodles are "fried fish with crispy meat", and a bowl of 14 yuan is also the most eaten by local people. Listening to local people chatting, I learned that there is a saying that eating noodles is called "having a daughter to go to Five Blessingg Building and a child to go to Zhuangyuan Building", which means that having a daughter can be blessed, and having a boy can be the champion.
After eating a bowl of noodles, my appetite suddenly opened up, and then the day's trip became a gourmet trip. Because of my "careful inspection", I found many hidden delicacies in Nanxun, including dozens, and I became addicted at once.
The highest occurrence rate is "Xunti". It's hard to imagine that Nanxun, who loves sweet mouth, would like to eat pig's trotters and cook them so delicious.
Xunti is a famous dish in Nanxun, and it is also a must for local guests. Smoked hoof is made by traditional ancient method, with rosy color, soft and waxy taste, salty and fresh, fragrant but not greasy. There are many old shops in the ancient town, and each one has a different taste. You can try more.
Another dish for guests is "three teas". The first one is sweet, called Fengyi tea, the second one is salty, called smoked bean tea, which will be matched with accessories such as shredded carrots and sesame seeds, and the third one is green tea, which is pleasant and fragrant.
In the past, Nanxun people didn't want to drink three teas themselves, and only served them when entertaining guests to show their dignity. Now three tea is also included in the world intangible cultural heritage.
When it comes to drinking, you can't help but mention Nanxun wine. In the ancient town, you can see all kinds of pubs and even supermarkets selling bottled wine, such as Nverhong, peach blossom wine and osmanthus wine, all of which are authentic Jiangnan wines.
The most famous is the Southern Song Dynasty Royal Brewery, which was brewed by the boss himself. There are large and small jars at the door, like ancient inns.
Ding Sheng cake is another must-eat food, which is a special cake in Huzhou. It looks like a pink ingot, full of auspicious and festive meanings. According to legend, this kind of cake was specially made for Han Shizhong's army in the Southern Song Dynasty. There is the word "victory" on the cake, which means victory.
Another kind of cake is orange cake, which is made of glutinous rice in Jiangnan. Exquisite in shape and delicious, it is a specialty of Nanxun. Orange cake is very elastic, sweet to eat and interesting to hold in your hand.
After eating the sweet and then having a salty one, it's Nanxun stinky tofu. Nanxun people are famous for eating stinky tofu, no less than Changsha, Hunan. There is a folk saying that "smelly Nanxun is spicy in Wuzhen". Nanxun stinky tofu is simple to make, and can be fried and mixed with sweet onion sauce and chopped green onion.
There are also some delicious foods that I saw for the first time, such as Xiangkohlrabi in Nanxun, which is a local specialty. The head of the vegetable is crisp and tender, delicious and salty. This is a home-cooked dish, but it has become a good gift.
Malt cake is dark green in appearance, looks like a dark plate and has a unique taste. According to folklore, when the Silkworm Flower Empress came down to the earth to burn incense, she once ate malt cakes in the farmhouse, so she became a sacrifice of the Silkworm Flower Empress and a delicacy for the farmhouse to entertain guests. Nanxun has been a famous hometown of silk since ancient times, so it is also common for malt cakes to collapse in the local area.
You can also try radish cake. This is made by shredding radish, adding garlic sprouts, adding salt and spiced powder, and frying in oil by molding. It's salty and delicious. Five dollars is delicious.
There is too much delicious food in Nanxun Town, and the price is cheaper than I expected. This ancient water town always surprises me and is a paradise for dry people. # Shuijingjing Nanxun Shuijingjing Girl #
