If you don't want to eat fast food in Beijing, after leaving the Forbidden City, you can go to a shopping center in Xidan, where there will be many restaurants. Go to Houhai to enjoy the nightlife of bars and snacks. You can also go to Wangfujing, and you can enjoy all kinds of Beijing delicacies in the snack street. If you have the strength to walk again, you can go to Nanluoguxiang, where there are also many snack bars.

It should be noted that you don't have to go out of the Forbidden City except for eating in the visitor center of the Forbidden City. The theme is lunch, so it is suggested to eat in the tourist service center or bring some food by yourself.

Tour route of the Forbidden City: Take Donghuamen to Shenwumen as an example. The tour time is between 2-7 hours, and the length of time depends on the meticulous degree of the tour and personal schedule. When visiting, we should master a rule, that is, take the central axis as the main axis, and then visit the East, West and Six Palaces with a butterfly-shaped cross curve.

Let's look at the buildings on the central axis. After entering from the meridian gate, there are Taihe Gate, Zhonghe Hall, Baohe Hall, Gan Qing Palace, Jiaotai Hall, Kunning Palace and Huangjiayuan Forest in turn, and then exit from Shenwumen. Wumen and Yanchilou have the largest modern exhibition halls in the Forbidden City, and often provide some high-standard special exhibitions. Wenhua Hall is a painting and calligraphy hall, Cining Palace is mainly a sculpture hall, Fengxian Hall displays clocks and watches, and Ningshou Palace is a treasure hall and a stone drum hall.
