Fuzhou University Town is located in Shangjie Town, Minhou County, Fujian Province, on the west bank of the Wulong River, adjacent to the Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway to the west and National Highway 316 to the east. It is equipped with a sewage treatment plant in Fuzhou University Town and is a high-level project in Fujian Province. A center for talent cultivation, scientific research and exchange, it is a multi-functional park integrating education, culture, ecology and life. Currently, 13 universities, secondary vocational schools, and middle schools have settled in the school, including Fuzhou University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Minjiang College, Fujian Engineering College, Fujian Medical University, Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Fujian Jiangxia College.

The universities in Fuzhou University Town include Fuzhou University (the most famous and the best university in Fuzhou), Fujian Normal University, Fujian Medical University, Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Fujian Engineering College, Minjiang College, Fujian Jiangxia College, Minjiang Normal College, Fujian South China Women's Vocational College, Fujian Normal University Union College, Fuzhou Vocational and Technical College. Among them are secondary education schools: Fuzhou No. 1 Technical School, Fujian Mechanical School, and Fuzhou No. 1 Middle School. If you want to wander around the university town but don’t know the roads, you can ride a bicycle and follow the university town’s exclusive bus No. 48. However, the roads in the university town are very wide and the bus speed is a bit fast. You can also drive around with a few friends using the cycling navigation system, which is relaxing and comfortable, especially suitable for the current season. In summer, Fuzhou is very hot, so I’m not in the mood.

So how to get to the University Town from Fuzhou Railway Station?

There are many colleges and universities in the university town. To go to Fuzhou University, Jiangxia University, Fujian Medical University, Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Minjiang University, you can take direct bus No. 55. Go to South China Women's College, Fuzhou Institute of Education, take bus 2 to Minzhong Road station and transfer to bus 89. To go to Fujian Normal University, take bus 121 to Shangdu and transfer to bus 43. You can also take express 183 to the University Town Bus Terminal and then to the Normal University. To go to Fujian Institute of Technology, take bus 55 to Fujian University Student Apartment and transfer to bus 48.

Among the universities in Fuzhou, Agricultural and Forestry University is not located in the university town, but the distance is not too far. In the university town, you can take bus 55 and 183 express to Agricultural University. You can also take these two directly from Fuzhou North Station. Take the bus to Agricultural University, just don’t make the wrong direction.

Since I graduated more than two years ago, I remember that Fuzhou was building a subway when I was about to graduate. I haven’t been there for a long time and I don’t know if the bus route through the university town is open to traffic. Everyone is welcome to add bus and subway routes. What I miss the most is the student street in the university town, with its endless food stalls as far as the eye can see.
