From 1983 to 199 1, Dr. Williams is the chairman of the Cognitive and Brain Science Department of the Medical Research Council in Cambridge, England. Later, he became a professor of clinical psychology at Bangor University, and established the Institute of Medical and Social Nursing and the Center for Mindfulness Research and Practice.
