The Origin of Wu Jia Town in Rongchang County
In the Ming Dynasty, the surname Wu opened a shop here, which later developed into a market called Wujiapu, which is called Wu Jia for short. Wu Jia Town was founded in the Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty and in the 19th year of the Republic of China (1920). After liberation, 1950 set up the regional office of Wu Jia Town. When 1958 was incorporated, Yongxing Township (now Liu Qing Town), Yu Fang Township and Wu Jia Town merged to form Wu Jia People's Commune.
