One star, two stars, three stars
Michelin only evaluates restaurants, and there is no grade for chefs. The grade of the chef is reflected by the grade of the Michelin restaurant. One star means excellent cooking, so you might as well give it a try; two stars means excellent cooking, worth a special visit; three stars means excellent cooking, worth a special visit. Michelin's highest standard is three stars, and because this is the highest standard, it is also where many chefs and practitioners want to work.
