In 1992, Duhua Town was established after the merger of the original Guihua Township and Fengle Township.

It covers an area of ??64.6 square kilometers and has a cultivated land area of ??3170 acres.

It governs two communities, Guihua Community and Fengle Community, and 14 villages.

The town has a total population of 29,385, including 2,113 non-agricultural residents.

Mainly Han nationality, there are five ethnic minorities including Hui, Tibetan and Qiang.

The town government is located in Guihuachang, 22 kilometers away from Tianpeng Town.

Qing (Xing) Gui (Hua) Highway and Peng (Prefecture) Guan (Dujiangyan) Highway pass through the border in a T-shape.

In addition, the town is crossed by the Western Sichuan Tourist Ring Road from north to south, and the soon-to-be-built Xin Pengbai Highway will run through it from east to west.

Guihua Town is located in a hilly area with an average altitude of 730 meters.

The climate is mild, with an average annual temperature of 15°C and an annual precipitation of 1,100 mm.

Tuxi River and Puyang River flow through the territory, and most of the farmland is under gravity irrigation.

The main agricultural products are rice, wheat, corn, rapeseed, etc., and the economic crops include tea, citrus, etc., and the main handicraft industry is bamboo weaving.

It is also the dairy production base of Pengzhou City.

The industry is famous for its earthenware pottery and glazed tiles, and enjoys the reputation of the hometown of ceramics. In 2006, Osmanthus earthenware pottery successfully applied for the intangible cultural heritage of Chengdu City, and then successfully applied for the intangible cultural heritage of Sichuan Province.

At present, there are 39 households of glazed tiles and earthenware products, with an annual output of more than 80 million pieces of various glazed tiles, an output value of 50 million yuan, a sales income of 45 million yuan, and a profit and tax of more than 4 million yuan.

A ceramic industry economy of scale has been formed that mainly produces machine-made glazed tiles, glazed tile decorative parts, glazed wall and floor tiles, and ceramic daily necessities.

Scenic spots and tourist attractions within the territory include Ge Mayan, Zhang Song’s Tomb, Sansheng Temple, Luohandong Reservoir, etc.
