Focusing on the goals and tasks set out in the government work report, and on handling the National People's Congress proposals and opinions, substantial progress has been made in the construction of road facilities, comprehensive environmental improvement, and the construction of major comprehensive projects, and urban functions have been improved.

1. Completion of targets in the first three quarters In 2006, according to the urban construction plan (mid-term adjustment) issued by the Municipal Construction Committee, Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and Municipal Finance Bureau, Wuchang District invested 994 million yuan in infrastructure construction. Up to now, 848 million yuan has been invested.

Accounting for 85% of the plan.

(1) Progress of key road projects 1. Jiefang Road Comprehensive Environmental Improvement Project (Pengliuyang Road-Huoju Road).

With a total length of 1,360 meters and a width of 20 meters, the total planned investment is 41 million yuan. The project was officially launched at the end of June. Currently, 7,525 square meters of illegal buildings have been demolished, with 67% completed.

Simultaneous construction of power supply, comprehensive telecommunications, professional telecommunications, tap water, natural gas, street lights, and traffic management projects have been completed.

The blackening of the roadway was completed on November 1, and sidewalk paving and facade renovation are in progress.

2. Ziyang Road drainage project (Zhongshan Road-Linjiang Avenue).

The total length is 2,550 meters and the width is 40 meters. The total planned investment is 199.42 million yuan.

The project officially started in September 2005. 304 households have been demolished and 1 household is left (an administrative ruling has been filed).

At present, the roadway has been fully connected, and supporting projects such as power supply and telecommunications have entered the final stage.

Strive to complete the project by the end of the year.

3. Heping Avenue comprehensive environmental improvement project (Second Bridge - Heping Port).

The total length is 3,100 meters and the width is 50 meters. The total planned investment is 69.63 million yuan.

The project was officially launched in early July. At present, 10,685 meters of integrated telecommunications have been completed, 42% of the plan has been completed; 300 meters of natural gas have been completed, 14% of the plan has been completed; 7,800 meters of traffic management have been completed, 83% of the plan has been completed; 1,600 meters of installation station lying stone,

28% of the plan has been completed; 1,600 meters of flower bed high station stones have been installed, and 29% of the planned area has been completed; 40,000 square meters of facade renovation of 20 buildings is under construction.

4. Zhongshan North Road continuation project (Jinsha Road-Zhongbei Road).

The total length is 1,500 meters and the width is 40-50 meters. The total planned investment is 95.61 million yuan.

Of the 158 households that should be demolished, 94 have been demolished. Currently, road construction is underway from Anshun Apartment to Zhongbei Intersection.

A total of 24,673 square meters of cement concrete pavement have been completed, 2,317 meters of drainage pipes have been installed, and 1,600 square meters of brick sidewalks have been paved, completing 50% of the plan.

5. Gymnasium South Road (Jinsha Road - Shahu Road) is 950 meters long and 40 meters wide; Shahu Road (Beihuan Road - Gymnasium South Road) is 360 meters long and 50 meters wide.

This project is one of the key construction projects of the supporting facilities of the Liucheng Convention and Exhibition Center, with a planned total investment of 150 million yuan.

Currently, the demolition permit is being applied for, and the preparatory work before construction has been completed. The section that will not be affected by the demolition is expected to start in November.

6. Jinshui Road drainage project (Zhongshan Road-Shouyi South Road).

The total length is 654 meters and the width is 40 meters. The road project plans to invest 12.59 million yuan.

145 households should be demolished, 144 have been demolished, and the agreement for 1 remaining household has been signed and can be demolished in the near future. The project officially started on June 20, and so far 7,464 square meters of roadway foundation has been completed, completing 43% of the plan; completion is slow

The driveway foundation is 630 square meters, 36% of the plan is completed; the roadway asphalt pavement is 4226 square meters, 24% of the plan is completed; the retaining wall is 1614 cubic meters, 56% of the plan is completed.

7. Fujiapo underground passage project.

It is 60 meters long and 6 meters wide, with a total planned investment of 15 million yuan.

At present, the support of the pipe shed at the top of the second ring underground passage has been completed, and the excavation and outsourcing of the second ring are in progress.

8. Yangyuan South Road road drainage project (Third Main Road-Fourth Main Road).

It is 1,150 meters long and 30 meters wide, with a planned total investment of 33 million yuan.

60% of the project was completed last year, and the remaining 40% was hampered by land acquisition and demolition issues. With the coordination of urban leaders, construction has now resumed.

9. Ziyang East Road drainage project (Zhongshan Road – Shaihu Road).

The total length is 820 meters and the width is 30 meters. The total planned investment is 194.97 million yuan.

Currently, drainage pipeline construction is underway.

10. The construction and protection project of Tanhualin Historic District has completed the construction of Huayuanshan Forest, the renovation of historical buildings and the tap water renovation project of Tanhualinzheng Street. The reconstruction of Tanhualinzhengjie Road has begun to be implemented.

Facade renovation at the west end of Tanhualin and Rouge Road is about to start.

11. The reconstruction of back streets and alleys has completed a total of 224,800 square meters, completing 112% of the plan.

We have completed the renovation and upgrade of 74 communities, and completed the road drainage construction in 10 key areas.

(2) Progress of major comprehensive construction projects 1. Construction of Shouyi Cultural District.

On the southern slope of Snake Mountain, 134 households have been demolished, with a demolished area of ??7,938 square meters; 17 large enterprises and institutions have been relocated, 55 unit households have been demolished, 21,149 square meters have been demolished, and an investment of 144.61 million yuan has been completed.
