There used to be 548 temples and huts in Jinding, which could accommodate thousands of people at the same time. It is the largest building complex in the whole mountain. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), the state allocated funds for maintenance. Ten years of turmoil have caused serious damage to it. More seriously, the relevant units occupying Jinding used Musi as a diesel generator room, which led to a fire on April 81972, and the ruthless fire completely destroyed Jinding and Huazang Temple. The fire destroyed 2 bronze doors, 7 bronze walls, 1 bronze monument, 2 bronze towers, bronze stoves, bronze bottles and bronze mirrors. Burned 8972 ivory Buddha statues, tin lotus lanterns, sand-fed Buddhist scriptures and ancient celebrity calligraphy and painting; Monk Yongde was also killed by fire.

In particular, there are only two Beron Tibetan Scriptures in China, and this one in Jinding Temple is the most complete, with a total of 7,600 copies (woodcut editions), which were burned to ashes. The person responsible for the accident was punished by law. After the fire broke out, governments at all levels attached great importance to the reconstruction of Jinding Huazang Temple, and Premier Zhou Enlai had asked about it many times before his death. Jinding Huazang Temple is built on the mountain, and there are three halls on the central axis from low to high. The first hall is Maitreya Hall. There is a gold plaque inscribed by Mr. Zhao Puchu at the gate of the temple, with horizontal plaques of "Wande Solemn" (inscribed by Master Jueguang) and "The Sea Solemn" (inscribed by Master Zhu Mo) on both sides. There is a 2.9-meter-high bronze statue of Maitreya in the temple, followed by a 2.6-meter-high bronze statue of Wei Tuo. There are also three-legged bronze tripod and bronze monument in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty.

There are living rooms on both sides of Maitreya Hall, and a corridor is connected with Daxiong Hall by the mountain to form a four-in-one patio. There is a bronze tripod in the center of the courtyard, with a height of 5 meters, and an iron tripod is placed around it, with a height of 1.6 meters to 1.7 meters.

In the center of the gate of the Hall of Heroes is a golden plaque of the Hall of Heroes on a black background. On both sides, there are plaques such as "May the King be in the Holy Land", "A Meeting in Lingshan", "Silver World" and "Shining in Sanskrit", all of which were presented by Long Lian, Kuanlin and Zhenchan at the opening of 1990. This three-body Buddha statue with bronze golden body is enshrined in the temple and sits 3 meters high. There are bronze pots, bronze bells and other artifacts in the temple, as well as Buddhist relics such as bronze statues and bronze Pu Xian statues.

The highest level is Pu Xian Hall, namely Jin Dian and Jinding, which is the highest hall in Emei Mountain. The plaques on the gate of the temple are "Jinding", "Endless Wish", "Pu Xian Pray for the Sea" and "Solemn Tibetan Land in China", which are inscribed for Zhao Puchu, Benhuan and Mingchang. On both sides of the temple gate are couplets inscribed by the master of Hong Kong Baolian Temple:

Hua Zang's eldest son attended nine meetings in seven places, assisting Pilu in explaining the great religion;

Jinding is a real person, from all directions, coming to Korea and getting lost.

A bronze statue of Puyi riding an elephant is enshrined in the temple. Puyi sat on the lotus platform, holding his wish in his hand. The lotus platform is placed on the elephant's back, and the white elephant steps on four lotus flowers. The whole statue is made of copper and is 4.5 meters high. There are bronze dings and other things in the temple.

Climbing the Jinding is the greatest wish of all tourists and pilgrims to visit Emei and worship Puxian. Here, people can not only burn incense and worship Buddha, linger in the world of God, but also enjoy the magical landscapes of nature: sunrise, sea of clouds, Buddha's light and magic lamps.

Jinding Huazang Temple is more than 3000 meters above sea level, and its climate is extremely cold. Monks living here must overcome many difficulties in life and climate. Since the reconstruction of Jinding, monks have lived here all the year round, carefully guarded the Buddhist temple, maintained it year by year, created conditions, warmly received people from all walks of life at home and abroad, and made contributions to the construction of the Buddhist temple in Emei Mountain and the development of tourism.

In 2002, in response to the call of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government to build Mount Emei into "the first mountain in China", the Emei Mountain Buddhist Association re-planned and formulated the "Huazang Temple Restoration and Reconstruction Project". Based on the principles of carrying forward Buddhism in Emei Mountain, excavating historical and cultural relics and revitalizing tourism, we should plan scientifically and create a people-oriented harmonious society. The relocation of "703 TV Station", the demolition of the front desk of Huazang Temple and the environmental improvement were specifically undertaken by Emei Mountain Buddhist Association, and a bronze statue of "Ten Square Pu Xian" with a height of 48 meters (including Sumitomo Pagoda) was built to restore the former dignity of Huazang Temple (Jinding). The construction project started in August 2004 and was completed at the end of 2005. On June 6th, 2006, with the approval of the government, the inauguration ceremony of Huazang Temple and the unveiling ceremony of the Ten-Party Pu Xian Statue were held ceremoniously. No tickets are needed.

Jinding ropeway

Winter and spring (65438+1October 8-April 30) 7:00- 17:30. If you want to watch the sunrise in Jinding, you need to stay in Jinding. There are many hotels in Jinding that provide accommodation. Jindingxiang Arms Hotel in Emei Mountain is a farmhouse in Jinding. It is recommended to make an appointment in advance to go to Jinding in peak season. Dining in Jinding's "gourmet forest" is not expensive. One soup and three dishes for two people is about 100 yuan. You can also stay in Taiziping. There are many places to live, and it is only two hours away from Jinding at most.
