St. Mark's Square

Reyato Bridge

Reyato Bridge is a famous bridge in Venice, which has been rebuilt many times. When it was built in the early 13th century, the wooden Reyato Bridge was the first bridge of the Grand Canal. In 1444, people watching Duke Ferrara's wedding trampled down this ancient wooden bridge. The Reyato Bridge underwent an expansion project and shops began to be set up on it. In 158, the Reyato Bridge was decided to be converted into a marble bridge, and the design drawings were publicly solicited.
