Qichi Bookstore, located at No.8 Dajie Lane, Xizhou Ancient Town, Dali, Yunnan, was built around 1526 by Yang Shiyun, a famous scholar in Ming Dynasty. The book building is a civil structure building with three large houses. The room faces east and west, and the three rooms are all divided into two floors, upstairs and downstairs. The doors and windows are carved with exquisite patterns. The house combination is the architectural pattern of "three squares and one wall". The book building was rebuilt many times during the Qianlong period and the Republic of China, but the architecture of the whole house still preserves the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty.
Yang Shiyun takes all fame and fortune very lightly, thinking that even if a person has a lot of money, he will only have a grave of seven feet after his death. Therefore, later generations called the small building where he lived "Seven-foot Bookstore". After Yang Shiyun's death, it was rebuilt many times in the years of Qianlong and the Republic of China in memory of man of great talent, a learned scholar and a man of great integrity. The architecture of the whole house still preserves the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. It is quite famous in Dali, Yunnan.
Yang Shiyun, whose name is Conglong, alias Hongshan, No.1 Jiulong Zhenyi, was born in the summer of Ding You (1477) in Chenghua, Ming Dynasty, and died in the autumn of Jiajing Jiayin (1554), at the age of 78. Zhengde Ding Chou (1517), Yang Shiyun was admitted to the Jinshi examination, and Jishi Shu was changed to Hanlin by Wen. As a result, Yang Shiyun made a sensation in Dali.
Soon after, his father died, and Yang Shiyun went to the funeral. After the cooking, relatives and friends advised Yang Shiyun to go back to be an official, but Yang Shiyun replied: "My wife (mother) is in the hall, why can't she bear to leave, and there is no way to be reasonable." So, quietly filial piety does not return, and filial piety at home. And sit and lie in the small building-"seven-foot book building" all day long, studying knowledge carefully. Sit for ten years. Later, the official department left the department to the matter. Yang Shiyun is an honest official, leading an honest and clean life. His character, personality and talent have always been respected and admired by colleagues and post-scholars Yanjia Courtyard is located at No.1 Fuchunli, Sifang Street, Xizhou Ancient Town, Dali, Yunnan. It was built by Yan Zizhen, a famous national capitalist in Dali, in 1919. The compound covers an area of about 2,478 square meters, and consists of two courtyards "three squares and one wall" and two courtyards "four in one and five patios". Between the four courtyards, "Liuhe Tongchun" and "Zouma Chuanjiao Lou" are connected into a whole. The whole building is luxurious and simple, elegant and generous, and it is the third batch of key cultural relics protection units in Yunnan Province.
The woodcarving, stone carving and clay sculpture of Yanjia Courtyard strive to keep the pure traditional practice and be meticulous. There is a marble landscape painting in the center of the zhaobi, and the traditional folk legend "Fishing firewood and plowing" is molded around it to show the diligence and courage of the Bai people in Dali, and it is also the prototype of the characters in Jin Yong's novel "Eight Dragons".
There are two large clay sculpture patterns on both sides of the zhaobi, "Red plum ushers in spring" and "Songhe prolongs the year", which fully shows the superb sculpture art of Bai people. In terms of stone carving, there are doors carved with pure white marble, and animals symbolizing auspiciousness, such as unicorn, elephant and beast with human face, are carved. The steps of the two houses are all paved with marble. In front of the east and west halls, there are wired marble carvings, carved with props of the Eight Immortals, birds and animals, flowers, birds, fish and insects, all of which are lifelike.
In woodcarving, it shows the exquisite Bai woodcarving. * * * There are 114 lattice doors, more than 25 full-hall carved windows and some carved windows. Various carving methods are used for plugs, hanging columns, hanging beams, hanging beams and facing beams, including three-layer through carving, two-layer through carving, deep carving and so on.
Yanjia Courtyard has become the tourism cultural industry with the most folk-custom characteristics among Dali scenic spots in Yunnan. Bai three tea song and dance performance is the essence of Dali Bai culture. Yangjia Courtyard, located at No.19 Ranyi Lane, Xizhou Ancient Town, Dali, Yunnan, is a building in the early Qing Dynasty. The layout of Yangjia Courtyard is a typical Bai courtyard building with three squares, one wall, four in one and five patios, which pays attention to stability, solemnity and symmetry. There is a zhaobi facing east and west in the courtyard. There is a flower stand under the wall to cultivate various flowers and trees to beautify the environment. Opposite the zhaobi is the main hall, with wings on the left and right sides. Four corners are formed between the houses in the four directions, and four small patios are formed at the junction of the four corners. There is also a big patio in the middle of the yard, so it is called three rooms, one zhaobi and four in five patios.
Looking at the buildings in the whole courtyard, there are overlapping arches, upturned cornices, colorful painted decorations such as gatehouse, zhaobi and courtyard wall. The whole building not only has the majesty of western gardens, but also has the charm of China courtyards, so it is good at fine, and less wins more.
The Yangjia Courtyard has formed a unique landscape in a solidified artistic way. While drinking three tea in Yangjia Courtyard, while watching Dali Bai people's song and dance overlord whip, welcome dance, straw hat pendulum, towel dance, etc., thousands of thoughts come to mind: hardworking and hospitable Bai people have created a long history and culture at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, and these cultural accumulations are still full of new vitality today.
