Sichuan Langzhong Ancient City · Travel Guide 1 Travel / Langzhong is located in the northern part of the Sichuan Basin, in the middle reaches of the Jialing River, and is one of the four ancient cities in China.
It is famous both at home and abroad for its "light of human ancestors, pioneer of astronomy, interesting geomantic omen, seclusion of mountains and rivers, profound culture, beauty of vinegar rhyme, and wonder of ancient city".
The main attractions include: Huaguang Tower, Folk Custom Hall, Zhuangyuan Square, Gongyuan, Zhangfei Temple, Jinping Mountain, etc.
The Langzhong one-day tour route we designed for you not only includes these attractions, but you can also taste Langzhong delicacies along the way.
Stop and go along the way to enjoy the unique style of Langzhong Ancient City!
To tour the ancient city, you can take a scenic sightseeing car or walk.
We recommend you to visit on foot, because the ancient houses with blue tiles and white walls along the street are also an eye-catching attraction.
Starting from the visitor center, walking along Cambu Street, you will arrive at the Huaguang Tower, the landmark building of Langzhong Ancient City.
This is a cross-street building. When you climb to the top of the building, you can have a panoramic view of the Danqing City outline and the Jialing River.
Coming out of Huaguang Tower, not far from here is the Feng Shui Pavilion.
If you are interested, you can go in and learn about Langzhong’s Feng Shui culture that dates back thousands of years. You can also ask a famous Feng Shui master here to point out the Feng Shui direction of your home to make your luck smoother.
After visiting the Feng Shui Museum, walk back along Neidong Street, turn right at the corner and pass by the Water Museum, Du Family Inn, Qin Family Courtyard and Confucius Family Courtyard. It takes about ten minutes to reach the Folk Custom Hall.
It will take you about an hour to appreciate the endless charm of folk art and the original style performances in the Folklore Hall. Next, we can take a look at the tall and magnificent Zhuangyuanfang at the street entrance.
There will be many courtyards and snacks along the way from Zhuangyuanfang. You may wish to choose some delicious food to satisfy your empty stomach and take a leisurely stroll to Gongyuan.
Gongyuan is also called the Qing Dynasty Examination Shed. Thousands of imperial examination objects have been collected here, recreating the scene of the imperial examination.
What’s interesting is that here you can also pretend to be an examinee from the Qing Dynasty, wear a long gown, and take the exam to be a scholar and have fun. This kind of real feeling cannot be obtained by watching TV.
After some rest and entertainment, we visited the nearby Zhang Fei Temple.
In addition to feeling the richness of the culture of the Three Kingdoms, you can also learn about the thousands of years of cultural accumulation in Langzhong through the numerous cultural relics displayed in the temple.
I believe that after watching the historical scenery for so long, you are almost a little tired of aesthetics.
It doesn't matter, we are going to change the scenery soon.
After leaving Zhangfei Temple, we went to Rhino Pier and took a sightseeing cruise on the Jialing River to appreciate the spirituality and freshness of Langzhong Ancient City in action.
You can have a panoramic view of the picturesque river, the deep ancient courtyard, and the beautiful screens.
The entire tour will take you forty minutes.
Arriving at Kongshuxi Pier, we started the last stop of our trip - Jinping Mountain Tour.
Jinping Mountain has always been known as "The First Country in Jialing".
Its mountains are full of intricate flowers and trees dotted in the green waters of the Jialing River. Such freshness and far-reaching beauty make people admire it.
Walking along the trail, you will pass by Du Shaoling Temple, Forest of Steles, Star Observation Tower and Song Zhangxian Temple, and finally reach the top of the mountain. Looking at the misty waves of Jialing River and the small town lying on the other side, you can't help but say "thatched cottages should be built with greenery" after appreciating the poetic sentiments of the past.
Wall" sigh.
After the tour, with this wonderful impression of the clear water and Danshan Mountain, take a cruise ship from Nanjinguan Pier back to Huaguanglou Pier. Walk all the way for about ten minutes to the visitor center, where you can take a taxi or bus to leave the scenic spot.
At this point, our one-day trip to Langzhong is over.
Of course, if you are still interested and have enough time, you can also choose an ancient courtyard from the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the ancient city, stay there for a few days, and let yourself get lost in the ever-changing changes of these doors, windows, corridors, and cornices and brackets.
