Fasting meat is the eighth kind.

At that time, the Great Wisdom Bodhisattva also said to the Buddha, "Dear Buddha, please tell us the merits of not eating meat and the faults of eating meat, so that other great bodhisattvas and I can know what they mean, and then tell them the sentient beings who will eat meat in the future and now, so that they can give up their carnal desires, seek the joy of dharma taste, be merciful to all sentient beings, love each other more, treat all sentient beings like a son, and live in the land of Bodhisattva, so that they will have no enlightenment or take second place." Buddhism, Luke Yato and other heretics have their own opinions, and they insist on breaking the rules and forbidding eating meat, not to mention the Tathagata's great sorrow that the world can rely on for relief. How can they allow themselves or others to eat meat? Very good! Dear Buddha, he is compassionate and regards all sentient beings as one son. Please explain the advantages and disadvantages of eating meat and not eating meat, so that I can be a bodhisattva. When you hear it, you will obey it respectfully and tell it to others widely.

At that time, the Buddha said to Bodhisattva Dahui: Dahui, listen carefully, and I will explain it to you alone. Great wisdom, all beings have infinite karma. Bodhisattva should be merciful and not eat. Let me give you a brief explanation today. Great wisdom, all beings have never started, and are constantly in the cycle of life and death. They used to be parents, brothers, men and women, family members and even relatives and friends. Among them, being born into three evil ways becomes an animal, an animal, etc. How can they eat animals, animals and other meat? Dahui, the audience of the Great Bodhisattva is like their own bodies. All meat comes from sentient beings. How to eat? Dahui, after hearing what I said, evil spirits dare not eat meat any more, let alone people who believe in Buddhism. Great wisdom, the Great Bodhisattva lives in various places and regards all sentient beings as relatives, even sons, so don't eat all meat.

Dahui, a butcher in the neighborhood market, sells dogs, horses, cattle, sheep and other meat for profit. How to eat these filthy things? Dahui, all meat is made of blood. How do people who pursue purity eat? Great wisdom, carnivores, all sentient beings know, for fear. How to cultivate good people to eat meat? The wicked, such as Dahui, hunters and butchers, fishing nets and birds, call when they see it, and the animals run when they see it. Creatures in the sky, on the ground and in the water will be frightened when they see such people and will be regarded as evil spirits. When they saw such people coming, they thought they were coming to kill them. In order to survive, they all fly away, and so do carnivores. So the bodhisattva is merciful.

Dahui, a carnivore, has a dirty body and a notorious reputation. He is a saint and a kind person, and he dare not approach him, so the Bodhisattva should not eat meat. Great wisdom, flesh and blood, etc. Being despised by many immortals, not all sages eat it, so bodhisattvas should not eat meat. Great wisdom, Bodhisattva protects the confidence of all beings so that they don't slander Buddha, so they shouldn't eat meat because of compassion.

Great wisdom, if my disciples eat meat and make all the people in the world laugh at it, they will say: Why do pure Samaritans wander around the world full of wine and meat like evil beasts, which makes all living beings afraid, destroys their pure behavior and loses their samadhi, so we must know that there is no samadhi and evil precepts in Buddhism, and the Bodhisattva mercifully protects all living beings from eating meat. Great wisdom, like burning human flesh, stinks as much as burning the flesh of other creatures. How can you eat raw food in the middle? Therefore, all people who cultivate cleanliness should not eat meat.

Great wisdom, good men and good women, when practicing purity in graves, forests, monasteries and other places, either live well, hold spells, seek liberation, or practice Mahayana. If they eat meat, all kinds of practice will be hindered and impossible. Therefore, if Bodhisattva wants to be selfish and altruistic, he should not eat meat. Great wisdom, meat eaters are greedy when they see the color of meat. All beings are like their own bodies. How can they think about it? So Bodhisattva should not eat meat.

Dahui, a carnivore, was shunned by the gods. His mouth often stinks and he sleeps restlessly. When he woke up, he was worried and scared. The evil spirits in the hag robbed him of his essence. He was restless all day, unable to eat, prone to sores and tinea, and often bitten by poisonous insects. How does he talk about future achievements? Da Hui, I always say, whoever eats should be regarded as eating his parents' meat. How can he allow his disciples to be greedy for meat? Great wisdom, the meat is not beautiful, the meat is not clean, eating meat will lead to evil and defeat all merits, and immortals and saints do not eat meat. How can they allow their disciples to eat meat? If I allow my disciple to eat meat, this person is slandering me.

Great wisdom, lead an honest and clean life, should eat japonica rice, millet, barley, beans, ghee, honey and so on. These are the foods that the Buddha allowed to eat in the past, and they are also what I often say can be eaten. All the good men and women in my caste are sincere in heart, have planted good roots long ago, are not greedy for life, jewelry and money, and are kind to all sentient beings. They regard all living beings as themselves, and only eat what saints should eat, and the rest are not allowed to eat.

Dahui, there used to be a king named Lion King, who was a meat lover and ate all kinds of meat. Over time, as for cannibalism, his subjects were so miserable that they all defected, and as a result, they lost their throne and suffered greatly. Dahui, the emperor, is the king of heaven. Because he used to eat meat, other bad habits turned him into an eagle, which chased pigeons. I was the corpse king, and I was very kind to pigeons, so I cut off my own meat and fed it to the eagle, saving the pigeon's life. Dahui, the emperor's remaining habits still make him reincarnate as an eagle and chase all beings, not to mention other shameless carnivores. When you know that carnivores are bored by him, Bodhisattva should stop eating meat.

Dahui, once upon a time there was a king riding a horse to hunt. The horse was frightened and ran into the forest. No way back, inaccessible. At that time, there was a lioness living with it. She gave birth to many children, and the biggest one was called Banzu. Later, she became a king, leading 700 million families. Because of her habit of eating meat, she first ate animals, and later even ate human flesh.

Dahui, meat eaters have such infinite shortcomings that they are forbidden to eat meat. People who don't eat meat can also do a lot. Anyone who doesn't know what's at stake here, I'll give you a speech today. No one should eat meat. Da Hui, whoever kills things is mostly for people to eat. People don't kill if they don't eat meat, so eating meat is the same as killing. It's amazing! People in the world are greedy for meat, but human flesh still eats it, not to mention the meat of birds and animals. In order to be greedy for the taste of meat, they tried their best to fabricate all kinds of traps and traps and put them everywhere. All living things in the water and on the land were killed. Even if they don't eat, some people often do it for the benefit.

Dahui, there are people in the world who are unsympathetic and specialize in tragedy and violence, just like Luo Cha. If they see the richness and strength of all beings, they will think of raw meat and say that raw meat can be eaten. Dahui, whether he committed suicide or homicide or the cause of death is unknown, should not eat meat, so I won't allow such a thing to happen.

Dahui, in the future, there will be stupid people who become monks in my law, talking nonsense, confusing my teaching methods, slandering me and saying that I am allowed to eat meat. I used to eat meat myself. Da Hui, if I allow people to eat meat, I have no sympathy. I am not a yogi, a monk or an exhibitionist. How can we persuade good men and women to treat all beings as their own children and cut off all the meat? Dahui, I said ten prohibitions and three permits everywhere, all for people to gradually cut meat and learn. What I said in this passage is that all meat should be eaten, whether it is suicide or murder. Dahui, I didn't allow my disciples to eat meat in the past, now I don't allow it, and I won't allow it in the future. Dahui, all meat is unclean to monks.

Dahui, if there is a foolish person who slanders Tathagata and allows him to eat meat, and he himself eats meat, when he knows that this person is entangled in bad karma, he will never fall into the cycle of evil deeds and will never divorce. Dahui, how can my disciples eat unclean flesh and blood if they are not popular in the world of desire? Great wisdom and sense of hearing only feed on Buddhism, let alone Tathagata? Dahui, Tathagata is not an omnivore. I cut off all my troubles, washed away all my habits and achieved compassion, harmony and wisdom. How can I allow my disciples to eat their own children's meat, let alone their own?

Someone mentioned the encyclopedia's "three clean meats" again?

In Buddhist terms, the meat that Hinayana Buddhism allows believers to eat is called "three refined meats".

(Actually, the word "three clean meats" was not said by the Buddha, but was made up by some people who wanted to eat meat. Compared with the minced meat in the Shurangama Sutra, we know that the two are in conflict. )

Three pieces of meat should meet three conditions:

First, out of sight is clean, that is, I didn't see the sad scene of animals dying with my own eyes;

Second, the ears can't hear the killing, that is, no one hears the sound of animals being killed;

Third, don't kill yourself, that is, don't kill yourself for food.

In fact, the man has explained the Buddha's explanation of the three golden meats:

Nirvana Sutra Volume IV:

The Nirvana Sutra was read four times: "Ye Jia Bodhisattva answered the white Buddha's words: Buddha! Why doesn't Yun Tathagata listen to predators? Good job! The husband who eats meat is sad. Ye Jia added: Why did Tathagata listen to the monk eat Sanjin meat first? Ye Jia! It's three kinds of clean meat. 」

In fact, there is the same statement as Shurangama Sutra behind the sentence of Nirvana Sutra, saying why meat eaters don't write it? Out of context:

Bodhisattva Ye Jia answered the Buddha's words. Buddha. Why are there ten impurities? Even nine kinds of pure and not listening. The Buddha told Ye Jia. It is also made by things step by step. When you know it, you are breaking meat. Bodhisattva Ye Jia answered the Buddha's words. Clouds and Tathagata praised fish as delicious. Good people. I don't think fish is delicious either. I said sugarcane, japonica rice, honey, all grains, Blackstone honey, cheese, butter and so on are delicious. Although all kinds of clothes should be used. This animal should be a bad color. Besides, greed smells like fish. Ye Jia replied. If the Tathagata does not eat meat. There are five kinds of cheese cream, such as crisp and cooked sesame oil. And all the clothes are luxurious. Cobb leather gold and silver jar. If so, such a thing should not be affected. Good people. You shouldn't do what you saw to Bini. All the prohibitions formulated by Tathagata have different meanings. Listen to three kinds of clean meat. Empathy, breaking ten kinds of meat. Different ideas, so everything is related to the dead. Ye Jia. I forbid my disciples to eat all kinds of meat from today. Ye Jia. Its carnivores walk, live, sit and lie down. All sentient beings are frightened by the smell of their own bodies. For example, people close to the teacher have been seen by everyone, and the smell of the teacher is also terrible.

Good people. It's disgusting if people spit garlic. Others smell it and give it up. Dreamers still don't want to get close to this situation. So do carnivores. All beings smell their flesh. I know everyone is afraid of death. Land, water, air, land, life, etc. It is said that this person is our complaint. Therefore, Bodhisattva is not used to eating meat. Show meat for all beings. Although you ate it now, you didn't actually eat it. Good people. If the Bodhisattva doesn't have enough food, should she eat meat? Good people. I am one hundred years old after nirvana. Four sages learn nirvana.

After the orthodox method died out, it was in the image method. When a monk looks like a monk, he should abide by the law, read less books, recite scriptures, be gluttonous and keep in good health. The clothes are rough and ugly. Gaunt and free from weeds. Cows, sheep and cows are responsible for firewood. Just have a beard, hair and claws. Although the robes are like hunters. Look, Xu Xing is like a cat and a mouse. Singing often means chatting. I have Lohan. Many diseases, pain, sleep, feces and filth. Greed at home and abroad. If you are dumb. Brahman, etc. Not a shaman. He is a shaman. Jaken slandered Buddhism. Such people have dignity if they violate the precepts set by the Tathagata. It is said that fruits cannot be separated from impurities. And teach profound secrets. Feel free to say classic. And that sentence is: Tathagata listens to us eat meat. From the birth of this statement, the Buddha said it was a mutual lawsuit! Each of them is called the son of a shaman.

There are many shamans and so on. The stored raw grain was eaten by the fish's hand. Take the oil bottle and cover it. Close to kings, ministers and elders. Zhanxiang, the stars are diligent in practicing medicine. Raise handmaiden, gold, silver, coloured glaze, car canal, Kate Ma, pear, pearl, coral, tiger, pearl, jade and shellfish, and all kinds of fruits. Learning all kinds of skills, painters work in clay. Make books, teach and plant roots. Curse magic and combine various drugs to promote geisha, music and fragrant flowers to heal the body. Pupu is good at learning Go. If there is a monk who can leave such evil deeds. Said he was a disciple of my true self. When Ye Jia answered the Buddha's words. Buddha. All monks and nuns live because of him. If you get mixed meat when begging. How can clouds get food? It should be clean. Buddha said Ye Jia. When washing, make it look different from meat before eating. If its utensils are contaminated with meat. But it makes boring listening innocent. If you see more meat in food, you shouldn't eat it. All fresh meat should not be eaten. The eater offended. I sang "Broken Meat System" today. You can't stop talking. When nirvana comes. Yes, it's called asking questions and answering questions.

(This sentence has made it very clear that the Buddha did not listen to the fallacy of three refined meats. As mentioned above, even if you haven't seen Sanjing meat, killed or heard of it, your body will still be unclean, smelly, sore and rotten after eating it, and it will still keep heaven and man away from you. Amitabha will stay away from you, and wild dogs and bugs will be as mad and miserable as you.

Three lean meat is only a stopgap measure, and breaking meat is the purpose! -Nirvana Sutra
