The architectural design of Wuhan Garden Expo Park adopts the 4+2 scheme, which consists of two service areas in the east and west and four main buildings. The main buildings include International Garden Art Center, Yangtze Civilization Museum (Wuhan Natural Museum Beilin Dahe Life Museum), Feitian Garden and Creative Life Museum, which respectively display classical garden art, achievements of civilization in the Yangtze River valley, characteristic garden art of three towns in Wuhan and modern urban culture in Wuhan.
The eastern service area (Hankou Li) reproduces the architectural art of Hankou in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, while the western service area (Hanjiang Bay) takes Hubei folk houses as its architectural feature and extends to Zhang Gongdi City Park.
