The launch of this "Wildlife Protection Publicity Month" activity with the theme of "Caring for Wild Animals and Building Ecological Civilization" is of great significance to education.

There are 411 species of terrestrial vertebrates in Qinghai Province. Among these wild animals, 24 species are national first-level protected wild animals, 52 species are national second-level protected wild animals, and there are 36 provincial-level key protected wild animals.

In recent years, due to the deterioration of the environment and indiscriminate hunting by humans, the survival of various wild animals is facing various threats.

In the past 100 years, the rate of species extinction has exceeded 100 times the natural extinction rate. Now more than 100 species of creatures disappear from the earth every day.

More than 10 mammals have become extinct in my country, and more than 20 rare animals are facing extinction.

Their extinction will lead to the disappearance of many molecules that can be used to make new drugs, and will also lead to the disappearance of many genes that help crops overcome harsh climates, and even cause new plagues. The losses caused by this will be something we will never be able to survive.
