Development history of pancakes
1967 Dongyanglou Village, Shengzhuang Town, Tai 'an City, discovered the separation contract during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, which contained "a plate of cigarettes and 23 kilograms of pancakes". As a result of the appearance of "Xunzi", we can be sure that the modern pancake making method existed at the latest in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. Shandong pancakes originated from Mount Tai and have a history of more than 1000 years. It can be seen that pancakes were already the staple food of Taian people at that time.
Legend has it that at the end of the Tang Dynasty, the Huang Chao Uprising Army was stationed in Mount Tai, and the local people sent pancakes to each other. Pancakes are the most common and distinctive food in southern Shandong and southwestern Shandong.
