Chengdu New Oriental Cooking School (Chengdu New Oriental Senior Technical School, school code: 51278) is approved by the government departments to establish a comprehensive senior technical school, but also focus on Sichuan cuisine ,Western cuisine, pastry, Western-style food and other culinary education, large-scale cooking school . , the school scale in the country is more advanced, year-round students in about 10,000 people, is a senior technical school (middle and high vocational specialties) and culinary college (culinary specialties) combined with the double main body of the college.

In 1988, New Oriental Culinary School was founded.
1991-1993, three consecutive years by the education authorities as a "model window school".
In 1994, New Oriental Cuisine School was officially approved by the Ministry of Labor as the designated training and assessment unit for provincial-level cooks.
