The first recorded naval battle in the world was the Battle of Cyprus in BC 12 10.

In the 3rd century BC/KLOC-the great migration of residents along the eastern Mediterranean caused turmoil lasting for decades. Among them, the "sea people" formed an alliance with Libyans and launched an attack on Egypt. In 12 10 BC, Sapirius II, the king of Hittite, Egypt, led a fleet to sail eastward, defeated the Cypriot ship allied with "Hairen" in the sea north of Cyprus, and burned its ships at sea, all of them burned. The story of this naval battle was carved on a pottery board, which is the earliest record of the naval battle.
