It is recommended to arrive at Luoyang Railway Station one afternoon or evening in advance, and then arrive at the train station in two days
Find a hotel three kilometers away, such as Luoyang Jinjiang Inn (Train Station Branch). Budget hotels are not very expensive (see all hotels near the train station) and are about 1.5 kilometers away from the train station. They are relatively quiet and can be used after dinner. Take a walk and experience the classical beauty of Luoyang. Suggested itinerary: Longmen Grottoes - Guanlin
Tips: Stay at the train station because it is close to the tourist attractions you want to visit the next day. If you live in the city, go to the city from the train station to get one It takes half an hour, and then it takes more than an hour to go to Longmen Grottoes from the city the next day, which is a bit of a waste of time.
First stop: Longmen Grottoes (morning): Ximen Grottoes - Dongmen Grottoes - Xiangshan - Baiyuan D1: After a night of recuperation, a new day can start a new journey . (1) Ximen Grottoes
There are many Buddha statues in the grottoes and each has its own characteristics. You can take more pictures. There are many Buddha statues and caves here, and there is no specific route. , you can go to the grottoes everywhere according to your own preferences. For example, you can first go to Fengxian Temple, which is the largest open-air niche in the Longmen Grottoes because it contains the largest and tallest Buddha statue - the Lushena Buddha statue. This is a very worthwhile attraction!
Then go to another famous cave - Binyang Cave, where you can see 11 giant Buddhas. The main image is Sakyamuni, with a high nose, big eyes, and an elegant posture. It is a masterpiece of stone carving art in the mid-Northern Wei Dynasty.
There is also a prescription cave, which still contains a Buddha statue, but 140 prescriptions for treating malaria and heartache are carved at the entrance of the cave. It is very good and is a work of the Tang Dynasty!
In the Lotus Cave, there is a round sculpture of the main Buddha Sakyamuni, 5.10 meters high. Although the head and face have been stolen, you can still clearly see the hands of the Buddha stretched forward. Moreover, there are a dazzling array of Buddhist niches in the cave. The niches have exquisite compositions, including pointed arches, lintel arches, eaves arches, necklaces, curtains, tassels, cloud patterns, curly grass patterns, geometric patterns, and exquisite carvings of lotuses and precious flowers. , rich in change. There is a beautiful large lotus carved in high relief on the top of the cave, and six large flying apsaras are carved in high relief next to it. They are graceful and vivid, flying in the wind, and are worth seeing.
Another interesting cave is the Ten Thousand Buddhas Cave. It is named because there are 15,000 small Buddhas neatly arranged on the north and south sides of the cave. Each small Buddha is only 4 cm high. It has a structure of front and back chambers, with two strong men and two lions in the front chamber, and a Buddha, two disciples, two Bodhisattvas and two heavenly kings in the back chamber. It is the most complete cave with the most complete statue combination in the Longmen Grottoes. There is a beautiful lotus on the top of the cave, and there is an inscription surrounding the lotus.
The Guyang Cave in Nanshan is also very famous and you can go and see it, because it is the earliest cave excavated in the Longmen Grottoes and has rich content. (2) Dongmen Grottoes
After seeing Ximen Grottoes, you can cross the West Bridge of Yihe River and then go to Dongmen Grottoes. The steps of Dongmen Grottoes are steeper. Although the number of Buddha statues and attracting tourists are not as good as those of Ximen Grottoes, It is for these reasons that the Dongmen Grottoes add a bit of tranquility and solemnity. After crossing an aerial pontoon and arriving at a small hole made of bricks, although the Buddha no longer exists, tourists like to place coins and banknotes of small denominations. Throw yourself into it and pray for the blessings and protection of the gods.
(3) Xiangshan
After getting off the Dongmen Grottoes, you can walk directly to Xiangshan. There are not many roads and the scenery is good!
Xiangshan Temple is located in the east mountain of Longmen, Luoyang. It is named Xiangshan because of its fragrant kudzu. Bai Juyi once wrote, "The suburbs of Luodu are the most beautiful places in the world, with Longmen being the first. The ten Longmen temples are the most beautiful place to visit, and Xiangshan is the first." On the column posted below Xiangshan Temple, you can see the national celebrities who have visited Xiangshan Temple. , including people from the political, military and business circles. Above Xiangshan Temple is a different world, secluded and cool. It is also a famous summer resort.
You can take a photo with Qianlong in the room where the golden statue of Qianlong is displayed! The Guanyin Hall at the back is also very good. After entering, it is very quiet. Coupled with the dignity and solemnity of Guanyin Master, people can't help but feel solemn. (4) Baiyuan
Leave Xiangshan Temple and continue westward to reach the legendary Baiyuan! In fact, the scenery of Baiyuan is not that beautiful, but it is precisely because of the existence of Bai Letian that Baiyuan, and even the entire Longmen, appear more unique. But the vegetation here grows very well and the environment is very good. There are many descendants of the overseas Bai family here. After many years abroad, they came back to trace their roots and inquire about their ancestors. They came to Baiyuan, carried out certain repairs on Baiyuan, and at the same time carved their names on the stone. Tips: It takes about two to three hours to swim down the entire Longmen Grottoes! Lunch: It is recommended to eat some snacks near the scenic spot or go to a small restaurant to save money and enjoy Luoyang’s snacks, such as non-turning soup, spicy soup, donkey meat soup, soup noodle dumplings, slurry noodles, etc., all taste delicious Very good, and very cheap, less than four yuan! Second stop, Guanlin (afternoon)
Luoyang Guanlin is adjacent to the ancient city of Sui and Tang Dynasties in the north, Longmen Grottoes in the south, Luolong Avenue in the west, and the clear stream of Yishui River in the east. It is one of the three major Guanlin temples at home and abroad. First, it is the only ancient classic building complex in my country that combines the three sacrificial rituals of "tomb, temple, and forest". It is also a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.
Transportation: You can walk to Guanlin South Station first, then take bus No. 80 or No. 66, get off at the Guanlin South intersection of Longmen University
Dao, and then walk to Guanlin. The whole trip is about More than 20 minutes. Ticket price: 30 yuan/person
After buying the ticket, on the way from Guansheng Street to the scenic spot, the first thing you see is a stone archway built in the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, with Yunwen carved on the west side , Yunwu, Bohou and Mingming. On the east side, they are carved as gods and saints, strong and upright, creating a solemn and solemn atmosphere for tourists entering Guanlin.
There is an open square outside the gate of Guanlin. It is said that the three major festivals of spring, summer and autumn are held here on the 13th day of the first lunar month, the 13th day of May and the 13th day of September respectively. The dance building on the square opposite the gate was built with funds raised by businessmen from Henan, Anhui, Shanxi, Jiangsu and Zhejiang during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It was named Qianqiu Jianlou after the saying of "learning from the past".
Guanlin has two major gates, both of which are very spectacular and worth seeing! The second largest gate is the Yimen. The iron lion in front of the Yimen is very interesting. You can take a closer look. Behind the Yimen is the Worship Hall, where you can see the "Flying Dragon in the Sky", which is known as the most unique thing in Guanlin.
The most worthwhile place to visit in Guanlin is Guanzhong, especially for Taiwan compatriots. There are two more stone archways in front of Guanzhong. The first layer is inscribed with "Tomb of Hou Tinghou of the Han Dynasty" and the second layer is inscribed with "Central Wanzai".
The third stop, Laoji Snack Street
The snacks in Laoji Snack Street are authentic, delicious and cheap!
Transportation: Walk in Guanlin to Hongqixiang Station, then take bus No. 58 and get off at Laoji Station. It doesn’t take long, it takes about 40 minutes.
Here you can eat soup, donkey meat soup, spicy soup, soup noodle dumplings, slurry noodles, beef soup, etc. The price is cheap and the taste is super good. Of course, when you arrive in Luoyang, you must try Luoyang Water Feast.
The price is not very expensive, about 6.0/bowl. It tastes good and you can try it at Laoji Night Market. Tips: It is very close to Luoyang Railway Station, only about a 20-minute drive. You can take bus No. 56 and get off at Luoyang Railway Station, and then walk to the hotel. If you are in a hurry, you can go directly to the train station to buy a ticket and go home. If you want to go shopping, you can go to Xiguan in the old city or the Youth Palace area, because these places have a complete range of goods at reasonable prices.
Recommended to try Luoyang agar-agar, Luoyang pork slices and Luoyang braised pork. What’s really different is that there are many local snacks in Luoyang, such as slurry noodles, sticky noodles, hot noodle dumplings, etc., you can try them.
2. Another Luoyang delicacy that I would like to recommend is Luoyang soup. There are mutton soup, beef soup, donkey meat soup, tofu soup, meatball soup... There are many varieties, each with different tastes. , Southerners may not like it, but I still recommend it because it is very unique and delicious. When choosing a soup restaurant, just look at whether its business is booming to know how it tastes. If there are many people inside, go in and drink. Soup is served for breakfast, and the price is generally 2-3 yuan/bowl, which is very cheap.
