Formerly known as Jin Zhiwen, he was born in Shangyu, Zhejiang. /kloc-I went to Shanghai as an apprentice at the age of 0/2 and studied in primary school for two years. 1935 Worked as an assistant editor in Children's Daily. 1937 published the first fairy tale "The Rise and Fall of the Eagle Harrier" in Children magazine.

During the Anti-Japanese War, he went to Chongqing and Chengdu, and worked as a teacher, newspaper reporter and editor of the homeless children's reformatory. 1946 returned to Shanghai, published satirical stories in newspapers and magazines, wrote children's narrative poem Xiao Mao's Life, which reflected the lives of street children, and fairy tale Red Face Shell, which exposed the greed and stupidity of the ruling class. 1947 was elected as the director of the Children's Readers' Association.

1953 Deputy Head of Children's Literature Group of Chinese Writers Association. 1956 wrote the fairy tale "Little Carp Jumping at the Dragon Gate" to encourage children to bravely overcome obstacles and realize their ideals. The fantasy and exaggeration of fairy tales are novel among the people. 1963 returned to Beijing to organize Children's Literature, and served as the editor-in-chief of this publication for many years. He has been devoted to children's literature for more than 50 years and has created a large number of fairy tales.
