Huangzhou Cold Food Poetry was written by Su Shi at the age of 47 in the fifth year of Yuanfeng. This article of 17 lines 100 words is the representative work of Su Shi's large-character running script. This work is rich in pen and ink, with bones and muscles, small in front and large in back, and bold in brushwork. In pen and letter, it successfully transforms the sadness and sadness in poetry into the realm of calligraphy art through lines and forms. Su Shi (1037—11), whose real name is Zi Zhan, is called "Dongpo Jushi". A famous writer, painter and calligrapher in the Northern Song Dynasty. He, his father, Su Xun, and his younger brother, Su Zhe, are famous for their literature, and are called "Su San". Su Shi is knowledgeable and versatile. He made great achievements in poetry, ci, poetry, calligraphy and painting in the Song Dynasty. He is a rare literary genius in the history of China.
This masterpiece is 33.5cm long and 1 18cm wide. It is now in the National Palace Museum in Taipei. It is worth mentioning that the postscript written by Huang Tingjian after this post is a masterpiece in the history of Chinese calligraphy, which blends with Su Shi's ink.
