Capsella bursa-pastoris, Chinese medicine name. It is the inflorescence of Capsella bursa-pastoris (L.) Medic. of the genus Capsella, family Cruciferae. All over the country are distributed or cultivated. It has the efficacy of cooling blood, stopping bleeding, clearing heat and inducing dampness. It is mainly used in treating bleeding, urinating blood, vomiting blood, hemoptysis, epistaxis, pediatric lactation, dysentery, and leucorrhoea.

Collection and processing: harvested in April-May, dried in the sun.
