Under the setting sun, the lake is as calm as a mirror, as if someone has fallen asleep peacefully, making people reluctant to step in and disturb a spring dream.

Chaka Salt Lake is located on a plateau. It was formed due to plate movement. The junction area of ??the earth's plates that was originally covered by seawater gradually rose up into the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. During the formation of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, some seawater accumulated in low-lying areas, forming many salt lakes and ponds, one of which is Chaka Salt Lake.

Chaka Salt Lake is also a famous natural crystalline salt lake in the Qaidam Basin. Its salt production can be used by people across the country for about 75 years. Salt produced by Chaka Salt Lake can now be purchased in supermarkets in Shenzhen. There is a small train for fun in the scenic area. In the past, this railway track was used to transport the salt produced to various parts of the motherland. Now this railway track has become a good place for everyone to take pictures. You can walk along the railway track to the center of the lake. As I walk, my thoughts drift into the distance. The miraculous craftsmanship of nature is amazing.

There are some salt sculptures that can be viewed in the Salt Lake Scenic Area. Since the temperature in Chaka Salt Lake is relatively low all year round, a lot of salt is not easy to melt. If you touch it with your hands, it will still taste salty; walking in the lake area , the salt under your feet makes a clicking sound. It feels like walking on snow. If you look at the white salt for a long time, you will probably get snow blindness.

Geographically, Chaka Salt Lake is sandwiched between the branches of the Qilian Mountains and the Kunlun Mountains. The plateau is covered with snow all year round. Chaka Salt Lake is known as the "land of the sky". When the lake is calm, it looks like a mirror. Visitors can walk barefoot on the lake to watch and take photos of their own reflections. When the sea is calm, the reflection becomes a mirror. Two people. I didn't pay attention the first time, and the photos I took of my companions only had half a shadow, which was a bit regretful. Chaka Salt Lake is also a good place to take wedding photos. Couples often come here to take wedding photos, letting the blue sky and white clouds witness their pure love.

There are many small black holes in the salt lake. If you cannot see clearly, please do not step on them. They may be dangerous places. Try not to go to the middle of the lake to play. At noon, the temperature is higher, the salt evaporates easily, and people tend to get tired after looking at the white color for a long time. The salt in Chaka Salt Lake is all original coarse salt and has not been processed. You can take some back, wrap it in cloth and heat it in the microwave to remove a little moisture. The salt we brought back is still intact.

Mirror of the Night Sky: There is a big difference in temperature between day and night in Chaka Salt Lake. You can wear short-sleeves when it is hot during the day, but the temperature drops to below zero at night. In order to take pictures of the stars, we took thick glasses from the hotel. The blanket was draped around me, and it was still freezing in the middle of the night and my teeth were shaking. However, it is so beautiful to see the Chaka Salt Lake under the vast Milky Way. The reflection on the lake surface makes the starry sky and the lake surface blend into one color. The starry sky seems to be falling on the lake surface. The white salt emits a faint blue light under the starry sky, as if it is like the stars in the sky. They were chatting affectionately together, telling each other about lovesickness.

There are yurts to stay in Chaka Salt Lake. We didn’t know it when we first went there, so we looked for a place to stay outside. Unexpectedly, we discovered that the scenery outside Chaka Salt Lake is also very beautiful. Distant mountains, white clouds, and thatch. When the wind blows, the golden thatch turns over in waves, just like the scene on the grassland, where the wind blows and the cattle and sheep are seen.

It is also very convenient to go to Chaka Salt Lake from Xining. The long-distance bus station has a shuttle bus to Ulan County, passing through Chaka Town. There are 5 buses a day, and the fare is about 80 yuan. Others: Follow the salt truck from Heima River to the lake area, about 50 yuan.

Chaka Salt Lake is really beautiful. Friends who like photography must go to take pictures of the starry sky at night. If I have the chance, I will go again.
