About passion fruit
Passion fruit is a herbaceous vine plant of the Passiflora family, Passiflora genus. The main varieties of passion fruit
Yellow passion fruit: bright yellow pericarp at maturity, the fruit is larger, rounded, stellate spots are more obvious, the average single fruit 80-100 grams. Juice content is high, up to 45%, pH about equal to 2.3.
Purple passion fruit: fruit shape is smaller, egg-shaped, stellate spots are not obvious, single fruit weight 40-60 grams, juice flavor, sweetness, suitable for fresh food, but the juice content is low, an average of 30%.
Purple red passion fruit: is yellow, purple two egg fruit hybrid varieties. Characteristics: purplish-red pericarp, star-shaped spots are obvious, fruit shape is larger, oblong, single fruit weight 100-130 grams, cold resistance and disease resistance, strong growth, can be self-pollinated results, without artificial pollination.
