First, mix the brown sugar with sesame paste, osmanthus fragrans, sesame oil, etc., then add a proper amount of flour and flour base, spread it on the thin dough, roll it repeatedly, and finally make it into a cake blank, and bake it in the furnace. Sugar fire is dark brown in color, soft in texture and rich in fragrance, especially in Dashunzhai, Tongxian County, Beijing.

The original name of Fanzhen Huoshao was Xu's sesame seed cake, and the name of "Xu's sesame seed cake shop" was personally inscribed by Emperor Qianlong.

In the spring of the forty-sixth year of Qianlong, a temple fair was held in Daiyun Temple in Fanzhen, and the Xujia sesame seed cake was invited to join in the fun. On the third day of the temple fair, the magistrate, with a group of officials and surrounded by an imperial envoy, came to the bakery and asked Xu Tinggui, the second generation descendant of the Xu family, to take orders and immediately go to the throne of Dai Temple in Tai 'an to wait for the driver. At that time, the production of the famous Taishan specialty, the Xu family sesame cake, must be produced with good quality.

It turned out that when Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River, he passed through Tai 'an. This time, he wanted to burn incense and worship Buddha at the top of Mount Tai, and named the special products of Mount Tai to show his respect. Among them, Xu's sesame seed cake was the first choice. After Xu Tinggui received the order, he immediately came to Tai 'an with an imperial envoy to make the best baked wheat cake. When Ganlong tasted the Xujia sesame seed cake, he was very happy, and immediately wrote the word "Xujia sesame seed cake shop" and gave it to Xu Tinggui. Since then, Xu Jia has his own glorious cake shop plaque.

In the summer of ten years of Tongzhi, Governor Ding Baozhen of Shandong Province came to Tai 'an to invite Xu Jingwen, a third-generation descendant, as a guest. During the dinner, he commented on Xu's biscuits: "The Xu's biscuits are baked with fire, and the fire has an upward flame, which means promotion and prosperity; Its shape is round, and it is said that reunion is complete; Its layers are kind and thoughtful; Its fragrance is strong, and it is famous in all directions. In short, Xujia sesame seed cake is also the pasta of Ruixiang. "

1940, after the Japanese invaders occupied Fanzhen, they built a watchtower and set up a defense, and immediately sent someone to inform the Xu family to rush out 200 baked cakes overnight to celebrate the Japanese occupation of Fanzhen. If you don't finish it on time, shoot to kill. At that time, Xu Zhaorong, a fourth-generation descendant, hated the Japanese so much that he would rather die than cook sesame cakes for the Japanese. In order to avoid disaster, Starry Night pushed the car and the family fled to Jinan. When the Japanese devils heard that Xu Jiaju's family had fled, they sent Japanese soldiers and traitors to smash the plaque of the "Xu's Baked Cake Shop", burned dozens of inscriptions given by emperors and princes, and reduced all the shops and houses of the Xu family to ashes and razed to the ground.

After Japan surrendered, Xu Liangong, a descendant of the fifth generation who fled in Jinan, was able to return to his hometown Fanzhen, regroup and start his old job. After the founding of New China, Shu Tong, then secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee, came to Tai 'an to inspect the work, and was very angry when he heard that the plaque of "Xujia Bakery Shop" was smashed and burned by the Japanese. In order to distinguish the individual meaning of the old society, Shu Tong wrote four characters of "Fan Zhen Huo Shao" on the topic of place, and presented them to Xu Liangong, a descendant of the fifth generation. Since then, Fan Zhen's fame has become more and more famous, his skills have become more and more refined, and his market has become bigger and bigger.

The origin of donkey meat fire

The burning of donkey meat is said to have originated in the early Ming Dynasty. Zhu Di rose up and rebelled, and went to Caohe, xushui county, Baoding Prefecture, where he was defeated. The prince was so hungry that he was going to die. The soldier had an idea that he should follow the example of the ancients and kill horses to eat. In fact, the so-called "donkey meat is fragrant, horse meat stinks, and you don't eat mule meat when you are killed". Horse meat is thicker and not particularly delicious. But hungry, I cooked the horse meat and ate it with a local fire. I didn't know it tasted good. So later, the local people also began to kill horses for "horse meat fire", and horse meat fire was famous because it had been eaten by the emperor. But the good times didn't last long, and it didn't take long, because horses were needed to fight the Mongols. Kyle here is not a dead horse that is cooked and eaten by fire, but a living war horse. Horses have become strategic materials, and of course they cannot be cooked and eaten by ordinary people. But what if you want to eat horse meat and burn it? So there was a substitute-donkey meat. Donkey meat fiber is more delicate than horse meat, and it is pure, thin and not fat. It has been a good dish since ancient times. Moreover, Baoding area belongs to the central Hebei plain, with rich aquatic plants and is most suitable for raising donkeys. There are two kinds of donkeys in Hebei, one is the Bohai donkey along the coast, and the other is the Taihang donkey in the mountains and plains. Donkeys in Baoding are generally Taihang donkeys, while another kind of donkey fire-Hejian donkey fire is Bohai donkey. Comparatively speaking, Taihang donkey is more delicious than Bohai donkey. So under all kinds of international meetings, donkey meat fire was born.
