From the morning of December 30, 2010 to the morning of January 2, 2011, 31 minor earthquakes occurred in Zhongzhuang, Jianhu, Jiangsu.
According to relevant personnel from the Yancheng City Earthquake Bureau, from 6:56:45 on December 30, 2010 to 6:32:24.2 on January 2, 2011, Zhongzhuang ( (formerly Zhongzhuang Town) experienced 31 consecutive earthquakes, with the largest one measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale. The earthquakes were felt in the surrounding Caoyankou, Gangxi and Jianhu counties. This continuous small earthquake belongs to the Zhongzhuang small earthquake group, with a smaller magnitude. There were no casualties or property losses. The highest earthquake intensity will naturally not be higher than 3.5.
Relevant sources from the Municipal Seismological Bureau said: The cause of this series of small earthquakes is the release of fault energy, and there will be no destructive earthquakes in the area in the near future.
