The first time I read Wang Zengqi's novel, I saw his Butter Pancake in Selected Works of Middle School Students. At first glance, I only feel that the language of this novel is as plain as boiled water, without any emotion, lyricism and comments. Almost all of them are boring narrative stories. The reason why I read this novel is because I have heard Wang Zengqi's name for a long time before. However, reading and reading, I actually read slowly, quietly showing the scenes of life in the story. After reading it, I actually felt that those bland and emotionless sentences were pressing my heart bit by bit. Finally, my nose was sour, and finally I couldn't restrain the tears in my eyes ... After crying, I revisited this novel just to taste the deep feelings behind those short and gentle sentences.

The second time I read Wang Zengqi's novels, I read the commandments in high school Chinese books. Chinese books were originally read after class, and teachers seldom read them to everyone in class. On one occasion, however, he spent a whole night studying by himself and asked several students to read the novella from beginning to end. Like butter pancakes, the language of this novel looks really dull, and it is all straightforward sentences. Different from butter pancakes, it describes soft and beautiful love instead of heavy affection. Ruthless as white water, language tells the story so vividly and interestingly, so soft and beautiful, like microwave sparkling water, like a dream with a veil. No matter what the theme of this novel is, one thing is certain: this novel is extremely beautiful. As Mr. Lu Xun said in "Good Story", "There are many beautiful people and beautiful things in the story". Reading this novel is really a pleasure.

Today, I borrowed a book called Click on Master Wang Zengqi's homepage, and read several novels such as Revenge, Notes on Making a Big Scene, Cat Abuse, A Complete Collection of Etiquette and Custom, Hou Yinjiang, Bowl of Rice and Flowers. It feels really good! Wang Zengqi's language is always so dull, but behind this dullness, there is an unusually rich human sentiment. Wang Zengqi's novels are like a cup of mild and mellow jasmine tea, which has a taste, just in response to Bing Xin's words: "Red flowers are better than green leaves, and strong wine is not as good as light tea."

Water is ruthless, and water is the most affectionate. Wang Zengqi's novels are like flowing water, which is really "ruthless and affectionate"!
