Steaming conch usually steams for a few minutes
It takes 15 minutes to steam conch. For most common conchs, such as snails and whelks, 15 minutes of steaming is more than enough time to cook them completely, thus killing any parasites and bacteria present and making them safe to eat. At the same time, the steaming temperature should be 100 degrees Celsius to kill parasites and bacteria. Sea snail (English: Seasnail), a class of sea shells, is a collective name for the Gastropoda shellfish that live in the ocean, such as the phoenix snail (Babylonia), jade snail (Natica), and red snail (Rapana). The body size of different conchs varies greatly, with the larger ones reaching over 80 centimeters in length and the smallest ones less than 10 millimeters in length. The shells are of various shapes, including flat spiral, disk spiral, horseshoe, cone, tower, egg-shaped, fusiform, irregular and so on. According to the direction of the spiral can be divided into right-handed spiral and left-handed spiral.
