Use a glass bowl to make distilled water
Materials: you need to prepare a stainless steel pot with about 18L volume, tap water, a glass bowl, a round baking rack, a pot lid, and ice cubes
1, fill a stainless steel steel pot with about 18L volume about half full of tap water.
2. Put a glass bowl in the pot. Be sure the bowl is floating and can't touch the bottom. If it doesn't float, place a round baking rack under the bowl.
3. Pay attention to the water collecting in the bowl. The water here should be hot, but not boiling. If it boils, turn down the oven temperature.
4. Create a condensation effect by alternating cold and hot. You can turn the lid of the pot upside down and fill it with ice cubes, and the hot air will condense into water droplets when it hits the ice cubes.
5, the pot of water to boil. The boiling will cause the steam to rise and condense at the lid of the pot. It will then drip down into the bowl and stop condensing when the bowl has collected enough water.
6. Remove the pot from the stove and take the lid off.
7. Take the bowl of distilled water out of the pot. Be careful not to burn your hands. You can let the water cool before moving it.
8. Let the distilled water cool before storing it.
Homemade distilled water method 2:
Make distilled water by condensing tap water in glass bottles
Materials: two glass bottles, pipe bands, ice packs or ice packs
1, take two bottles for distilled water. It's best if one bottle has a somewhat curved neck to prevent the distilled water from flowing back in.
2. Fill one bottle with tap water. Fill it about 12.7cm high.
3, stick the necks of the two bottles together and seal them tightly with a pipe band.
4, with a stainless steel pot of about 18 liters filled with boiling water, distilled water points. Just cover the amount of water in the bottle below.
5, tilt the bottle thirty degrees. Tilt the upper bottle and lean it against the rim of the pot. This angle works well for evaporation.
6. Place an ice pack or ice pack on the top bottle. This creates a hot/cold contrast and allows the steam to condense.
7. Continue the condensation process until enough water has been collected.
Homemade Distilled Water Method 3:
Turning Rainwater into Distilled Water
Materials: Large Container, Rainwater, Kettle
1. Take a large, clean container and collect the rainwater.
2. Leave it outdoors for two days to let the minerals dissipate.
3. Put distilled water in a clean water bottle.
Tip:
Occasionally lift the lid of an inverted pot to make sure the steam is being collected in the bowl.
If you feel that the tap water is not pure enough, you can use distilled water to change the water in your saltwater aquarium. Be sure to mix the distilled water with the salt water before adding it to the tank.
Use heat-resistant glass bowls and bottles for boiling water
Only the water in the bowl or bottle is distilled water. The rest of the water contains impurities, things like minerals that you remove from distilled water.
If you want to add it to your tank, you need to add the right chemicals. Without these chemicals, distilled water can't support fish.
