Can carrots and tomatoes be eaten together?
Carrots, as a kind of vegetables with high nutritional value, are very common on the table. Tomatoes are common ingredients, which can be seen in cooking, soup or cold salad. Because carrots and tomatoes have high nutritional value, there is also a saying that they can't be eaten together.
Actually, this statement is wrong. You can't eat two kinds of food together. There are two situations. The first is that the food is similar to each other. After eating these two foods, you may feel unwell and even affect your life. Generally, this situation is caused by the mutual exclusion of nutrients in two foods. However, the vitamins contained in carrots and tomatoes are not mutually exclusive, and they are all plant foods, so there is no possibility of food cannibalism. The second situation is that the nutritional value of the two foods will be reduced after they are combined. Carrots are rich in vitamin A and vitamin E, as well as B vitamins, and the vitamins in tomatoes are similar, so the nutritional value will not be reduced after the combination of the two.
Excluding the above two situations, it can also be concluded that carrots and tomatoes can be eaten together, which will not affect each other's nutrient absorption, nor will there be symptoms of food interference.
