What do you think of the quality of down jackets? It says 90% grey duck down, 90% white duck down. What kind of down is the best?
Qu Fei, deputy secretary-general of down jacket professional committee of China Garment Association, reminded consumers to avoid five misunderstandings when purchasing down jackets.

First, the higher the cashmere content, the better. A down jacket can be called a down jacket if the cashmere content exceeds 50%, but it should be decided according to the consumer's own wearing conditions and environment. For example, it is appropriate to wear 70% ~ 80% down jackets in Beijing, which is similar to 80% ~ 90% down jackets of the same kind.

Second, the more cashmere the better. The filling amount of cashmere depends entirely on the total area required for down jackets. Long down jackets may be filled with more cashmere, and short ones may be less, not to say that the more they are filled, the better.

Third, the softer the better, and you can't touch any stalks. Down is a natural thing, and it is normal to have small hair stalks and flakes with certain specifications and limits. If it feels particularly soft, it may be that other fillers have replaced down. In addition, it is normal for fine hairs to come out of the eye of the needle after photographing the product.

Fourth, white duck down is warmer than grey duck down. Generally down is divided into two colors, one is white and the other is gray. White eiderdown will be used as the filler of light-colored fabrics, and gray eiderdown will be used as the down jacket of dark-colored fabrics. There is no saying that white duck down is warmer than grey duck down.

The fifth is to use labels to induce consumers. Some down products brands say 100% duck down. Officially, a down jacket should be marked with the factory name, address, color, execution order number, national standard, what is the filler and the amount of down. If this down jacket is 90% down, as long as 90% down is written in the down column, it is possible to write 10% down, flying silk and so on. Later, but absolutely impossible to say 100% duck down, this is cheating consumers.

Experts remind consumers that there are four main steps in choosing down jackets. Take a look: whether there are registered trademarks and product instructions, pay attention to product appearance and sewing quality; The second touch: whether it feels soft and has a complete small piece of hair; Three pressures: whether it is fluffy and has certain resilience; Four smells: whether there is no fishy smell or peculiar smell.
