Small perennial herb with strong turpentine-like aroma, 20 ~ 35 cm high. The upper end of the stem is slightly short-haired, and there are a few threadlike brown leaf base fibers near the root. There are not many rooting leaves, generally 6-9 leaves per cluster, with narrow linear oblanceolate or oblanceolate leaves, 7-18cm long and 0.4-1cm wide, with obtuse apex, slightly petiole-shaped below the middle, slightly expanded sheath at the base, full margin, unclear veins and smooth hairless on both sides; Cauline leaves are 3-4 pairs, the base is not narrow and shrinks into a stalk shape, and the length is 2-6 cm, and the higher it is, the smaller it becomes. Flowers form a head-shaped cyme, and there are leaflike long ovate involucres 2 under the inflorescence. Flowers pale pink; The base has ovate entire bracts 3; Calyx is small, less than 1 mm; Corolla is broadly tubular, one side of the tube base is abruptly contracted, the apex is 5-lobed, slightly unequal, and the lobe apex is round; Stamens 4; The corolla tube is inserted at the base, longer than the corolla, most of the filaments are hairy, the upper end is smooth, and the anthers are nearly transverse; The ovary is inferior, the style is slender slightly beyond the corolla, and the stigma is funnel-shaped. The leaves are rooted, the leaves are oblanceolate or long spoon-shaped, the apex is obtuse and rounded, and it narrows into petiole below the middle, with 3 veins. Flowers are cymes-like flower heads; There are leaflike involucral bracts 2 on the flower stem, which are lanceolate; Two rows of symmetrical white short hairs are inserted on both sides of the flower stem; Corolla is broadly tubular, pale pink, and its apex is pale pink; Sepals 5-dentate. Achenes obovate or oblate.
Most of them are born in high mountains and grasslands. Distributed in Tibet and other places.
Harvesting can be done in spring and autumn, especially in autumn. After excavation, remove the mud and sand, remove the residual stems and fibrous roots, and directly dry them in the sun or in the shade without washing.
The dried rhizome and root of sweet rosin are curved like shrimp, thick on the top and thin on the bottom. The rhizome is attached with aboveground stem residues and multi-layer dead leaf residues, about1~ 2 cm long; The outer layer is brown and black, and the inner layer is brown to yellow; It is long and narrow, membranous, flaky or fibrous. The above-ground stem residues are hollow and brown. The main roots are columnar, single, and some strands are knotted, juxtaposed or branched; The length is about 5 ~13cm, a few are 20cm, and the diameter is about 0.3 ~1cm. The surface is shriveled, brown, and often cracked into sheets; The central xylem is grayish brown, and the lower part of the old root is a single stele, while the upper part has 2 ~ 4 split steles. Young roots and fibrous roots are curved, and the surface is shriveled and light brown. The breath is fragrant and the taste is bitter. It is better to have fat taproots, long strips, strong fragrance and no debris and mud.
Location: Sichuan. In addition, Gansu, Qinghai and other places are also produced.
Pharmacological action ① Central sedative effect
Glycerol rosin has similar sedative effect to Valeriana officinalis in frogs and rabbits, but its toxicity is stronger than that of Valeriana officinalis. The volatile substances of Gan Song broadleaf have similar sedative effect and have certain sedative effect. The organic solvent extract can induce sedation and pressor in mice, rats and cats by oral administration or intraperitoneal injection. The ethanol extract has the highest efficacy and is toxic in large dose, and1.5 ~ 3.75g/kg can cause death. Valerione is more effective in antagonizing the maximal electric shock than the volatile oil of Dalundine and Gan Song, but it has no protective effect on pentylenetetrazole-induced convulsion.
② Anti-arrhythmia
Valerione has antiarrhythmic effect and is a safe drug. The inhibition of ectopic ventricular rhythm (anesthetized dogs after secondary coronary artery ligation) is stronger than quinidine and Gan Song volatile oil; However, the inhibition of injured atrial flutter and aconite alkaline atrial fibrillation is the same as quinidine. The volatile oil extracted from the root of Gan Song broadleaf has a weaker effect on prolonging the anti-depression period and slowing down the conduction in various heart specimens than quinidine. It is also less toxic to mice by acute intravenous injection than quinidine. It has no protective effect on ventricular arrhythmia caused by digitalis.
③ Effect on smooth muscle.
Before and after injecting histamine into guinea pigs, Gan Song broadleaf can dilate bronchi. Alcohol extract has antagonistic effects on histamine, 5- hydroxytryptamine and acetylcholine in isolated smooth muscle organs (small intestine, large intestine, uterus and bronchus). It can also antagonize the spasm caused by barium chloride, so it has a direct effect on smooth muscle. Clinical treatment of asthma, cough, diarrhea and abdominal pain may be related to this.
④ Other functions
The volatile oil from Gan Song broadleaf has weak antibacterial, expelling wind and spasmolytic effects, and has no local * * * effect on skin and mucosa.
Processed to remove impurities, washed quickly, fished out, cut into sections and dried.
