The Queen eats four meals a day, namely breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner, and the Buckingham Palace menu is basically the same as in 60 years, only "fine-tuning", not "big change". Breakfast is usually very simple oatmeal milk, plus a handful of unsalted and unsweetened nuts or dried prunes, plus fresh fruit, Darjeeling black tea, Earl Grey tea is the Queen's favorite, every morning to a cup. Lunch is a slice or two of beef or ham with tomatoes + lettuce leaves; salads are decidedly not dipped in mayonnaise or the like. Occasionally, for extra protein, some grilled halibut without sauce is served with spinach or zucchini. Smaller cucumber sandwiches are the order of the day for afternoon tea, which also switches to scones, or her favorite traditional British fruitcake, dundee cake.Dinner is starch-free, and on principle high in protein and low in fat! The menu is usually filet mignon, lamb chops, roast beef, grouse or salmon, and the fruits are low in sugar, such as Windsor Castle's home-grown strawberries and peaches.
In order to stay in good shape and condition, the Queen takes every time she can to get moving. Even when traveling, she tries to walk more and stand less and sit down less. The Queen has been trying to be thin for more than 90 years, and still relies on keeping her mouth shut and her legs open to achieve it.
