How should TV epilepsy be prevented?

Television epilepsy often occurs in the following situations, i.e., flickering of the television image or image scrolling; close proximity to the television set (preferably more than 3 meters away from the television set); channel changes; geometric distortions; background twists and changes in the patient's health status (e.g., before menstruation, fatigue, or suffering from other illnesses, etc.), to name a few. The treatment of this condition is similar to the treatment of epilepsy.

Preventing the occurrence of TV epilepsy is, firstly, advising patients suffering from photosensitive epilepsy not to watch TV or to watch less TV; secondly, it is to let the patient turn his back away from the fluorescent screen immediately when the above mentioned situations appear on the TV fluorescent screen, and watch it again when someone else tunes in, and so on.
