The yellow-finned horse-faced bream is mainly distributed in the east, south, Yellow Sea, Bohai Sea, South Korea and Japan, and is also found in South Africa. Yellow-finned horse-faced bream not only has a high yield, but also has a concentrated fishing season, and its main flood season is from early February to late May. At present, the East China Sea has the largest output, with the highest annual output reaching about 250,000 tons, making it the second largest marine economic fish species after hairtail in China.
