The Interpretation of the Supreme People's Court on Several Issues Concerning the Specific Application of Laws in the Trial of Criminal Cases of Destruction of Wild Animal Resources points out that "precious and endangered wild animals" as stipulated in the first paragraph of Article 341 of the Criminal Law include the national first-class and second-class protected wild animals listed in the List of National Key Protected Wild Animals, the wild animals listed in Appendices 1 and 2 of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Wild Animals, and the above-mentioned domesticated and propagated species.
Article 3 Illegal hunting, killing, purchasing, transporting and selling of rare and endangered wild animals shall be regarded as "serious" in any of the following circumstances:
(1) Conforming to the corresponding quantitative standards listed in the attached table of this interpretation. (2) Illegally hunting, killing, purchasing, transporting and selling different kinds of rare and endangered wild animals, two or more of which respectively reach more than half of the quantity standard of "serious circumstances" listed in the attached table. Illegal hunting, killing, purchasing, transporting and selling of precious and endangered wild animals is "especially serious" under any of the following circumstances.
