How to make soda drinks

1

Buy soda. Go to the grocery store and buy a liter or two of plain soda. Look for sparkling water without sugar or other additives. All you need is pure carbonated water.

If you have a carbonation device at home, there is no need to buy carbonated water at the store.

You can also buy "sparkling water," as soda water is sometimes called.

2

Decide how to flavor the soda. Do you want a fruity or richer flavor? There are no limits to homemade soda. Choose from one of these delicious flavors or create your own:

Lemon-Lime. This traditional flavor combination is refreshing, especially when you make your own soda with fresh lemons and limes.

Vanilla Cream. Another popular soda flavor found at soda stands, this refreshing, thick soda is delicious any time of year. You will need heavy cream and vanilla extract.

Chocolate. Chocolate soda is surprisingly easy to make, all you need is some chocolate syrup and you’re ready to make this soda.

Tropical mixed fruits. Stock up on mangoes, pineapples and kiwis, or skip the whole fruit and just buy a variety of juices for a tropical fruit soda.

3

Choose a sweetener. The best thing about making your own soda is that you get to choose how sweet it should be. You can use regular table sugar, or use honey, agave nectar, or syrup for a different flavor. Choose a sweetener that matches the flavor of your soda.

Compared with other types of soda, soda made from fruits does not require much sweetener because the fruit itself can already provide a lot of sweetness.

You can pair vanilla and chocolate sodas with maple syrup to create a fun mixed drink.

You can use sugar substitutes to make sugar-free soda.

4

Prepare soda. Pour the carbonated water into a large pitcher or wine glass. Add a flavor of your choice, whether it's fresh squeezed fruit, chocolate ganache, or cream and vanilla. You can add some sweetener and stir the entire mixture with a tablespoon. You can drink it immediately or store it in a bottle with a tight cap to drink later.

As you add flavorings and sweeteners, taste the soda to determine how much more you need to add.

Pour the soda into a clear glass, then insert a straw to show off its beautiful color and bubbles. Homemade sodas make great party drinks.

Method 2 of 2:

Professional homemade soda

1

Purchase the ingredients needed to brew your own soda. Making soda from scratch means you have to actually buy ingredients that allow the water to save carbonation. You can purchase these ingredients at home brewing supply stores or online. [1] You will need the following materials:

A bucket with a capacity of about 19 liters

A plastic bottle with a lid for storing prepared soda

Large Stockpot

Large mixing spoon

8 cups sugar

Flavour of your choice

1 packet of Champagne yeast

Soda extract (Soda extract, mix salt and sodium bicarbonate in a ratio of 1:4, then add distilled water to dissolve)

Kitchen thermometer

2

Bring water and sugar to a boil. Place approximately 7.56 liters of water and eight cups of sugar into a large stockpot. Bring this mixture to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves in the water.

You can add any seasonings or flavors you want at this time, such as ginger (to make ginger ale) or lemon zest. Let the seasonings and sugar cook together. Once the sugar is dissolved, you can strain out the flavorings from the mixture before proceeding to the next step.

3

Pour the sugar water into the bucket. If you don't want the soda to be too concentrated, you can mix in about 7.56 liters of cold water again. [2] Allow the mixture to cool slightly, until approximately 21 to 26.7 degrees Celsius (70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit).

Test the water temperature with a kitchen thermometer to make sure it is at the correct temperature before proceeding to the next step.

If the mixture is too cold, you will have to reheat it before adding the sodium carbonate extract and yeast.

4

Add sodium carbonate extract and yeast.

5

Mix them well until completely dissolved in the water.

6

Pour the mixture into the bottle. If your bucket has a faucet, you can turn on the faucet and put the water into the bottle; otherwise, you must put the funnel into the bottle and slowly scoop out the water with a ladle. Once the bottle is full, screw on the cap tightly.

7

Store bottles at 21 degrees Celsius (70 degrees Fahrenheit). At this temperature, the yeast will take in the sugar and begin to ferment, producing carbon dioxide. It takes two or three days for the water to acidify.

8

Test the carbonation results. Squeeze plastic bottle. If it feels very firm when you squeeze the bottle, the water has been carbonated. If the bottles retract easily, they will need more time to fully carbonate.

9

Refrigerate bottles. Once the water in the bottle has turned into a carbonated drink, you can put the bottle in the refrigerator to cool down. After the soda cools down, open the bottle and enjoy your homemade soda
